Today I have totally stuck to plan. Out of interest I put my food details into my fitness pal. I was surprised when it showed that I had consumed 1600 calsShock. It also says I have had less than a quarter of the daily recommend intake for calcium and iron.

I was wondering if anybody else has done this, and been surprised by the outcome.

calzone · 24/09/2015 02:27

Yay!!!!!! 4.5lbs off!!!!!! Woooooooooooo!!!!!!

B.....overnight oats
L....bns soup, nectarine

Well done calzone! Great loss.

1lb off for me this week. All my own fault - only got back on it on Monday so not too bad I suppose.

Sea biscotti - I haven't done that. Although I have to admit to not following SW to the letter. I will give it a go though. Be interesting.

helenahandbag · 24/09/2015 16:40

FannyFanakapan · 24/09/2015 20:32

tabulahrasa · 25/09/2015 09:52

"Why is one piece of bread only allowed as a HE but potatoes/pasta/rice is unlimited? Surely they are all carbohydrates?"

Firstly because weight for weight, bread has more calories in it and secondly...you wouldn't often eat loads of pasta or potatoes by themselves or with very little other food, but people will do that with bread. So potatoes and pasta would usually be part of a meal and so then self limiting because you get full, bread with just something like butter on it, is nowhere near as filling. (Don't know about you, but I could eat today till it's coming out my ears, lol)

So it's not to do with carbs at all, it's more to do with calories and portion control.

tabulahrasa · 25/09/2015 09:53

Toast - not today Hmm

FannyFanakapan · 25/09/2015 12:03

1/2 on today. Sad on the white wine and daim bar diet Grin. This week I shall pull it back (although i'm out for lunch and have just come back from a macmillan coffee morning). I am going to plan!

helenahandbag · 25/09/2015 12:06

That half will be off again next week! I hope you had fun at the coffee morning, I definitely couldn't be trusted around homemade cake Grin

TheTravellingLemon · 25/09/2015 17:03

Can I join? I've only been doing SW for a week and am also pregnant, so not actually weighing in at the moment.

I really really struggle with red days, but I know I need to do more of them. I'd love any advice on good filling meals.

I bloody love toast.

calzone · 26/09/2015 23:14

I thought I'd done well with coffee and a yoghurt for breakfast but you've beaten me Calzone :o

Toast for lunch. I had meant to do beans too but I was too busy. There is cottage pie for dinner later. Current syns standing at one in the cottage pie (cornflour) but there's a fake magnum with my name on it in the freezer for later which will take it up to 13. Well worth it.

FannyFanakapan · 27/09/2015 16:12

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 27/09/2015 20:54

There's jackets, spag bol, chicken soup and something involving bacon to have this week. I need to shop too, but I shop midweek.

TheTravellingLemon · 28/09/2015 09:24

I'm making a vegetable curry today and I think i might have a stab at the crustless quiche at some point too.

CiderwithBuda · 28/09/2015 11:21

My rough plan is

Salmon and stir fry veg tonight
SW bolognaise
Jacket and beans
SW fish and chips and peas
Italian chicken escalope with pasta and roast veg

A veg curry sounds like a good idea.

Also fancy chilli con carne so might make a batch of that.

Breakfasts this week - 0% Greek yoghurt with strawberries and blueberries

Lunches - variety of salads and soups.

Trying to stick to SP today and tomorrow. I don't like having to many carbs and sticking to SP Monday and Tuesday will hopefully help alleviate the wine and naughtiness of the weekend!

helenahandbag · 28/09/2015 11:55

Terrible, terrible weekend food-wise. Too busy celebrating passing my driving test and buying my first car! Chocolate on Friday, McDonald's (drive thru, natch Grin) on Saturday, curry and naan with fruit cider and sweets last night... just awful!

I'm off for the September weekend today but I'm back on the wagon and I can now go to a more local class tonight thanks to having car, rather than giving up my lunch hour for a weigh and go class near work. I'm not looking forward to facing the scales tonight Sad

B: 2x Hifi bars, Muller Light, banana, coffee
L: Mugshot, Apple
D: Chicken breast cooked in Maggi seasoning, veg, possibly potatoes if I fancy them

FannyFanakapan · 28/09/2015 18:54

B: Toast x2 (hB) eggs, tomato
L: Chicken Noodle Soup - free and filling! Mullerlight
D: SW spag bol, salad. Sprinkle of cheese (4 syns) Mullerlight

Sn: Lots of fruit

Chicken Noodle Soup:

Litre of stock made with flavourpot or stock cube - I use the lemongrass and ginger one.
1 sheet of dried egg noodles
piece of chicken (leftover from roast dinner, but have used sliced chicken pieces from a packet before)
1 chunk ginger - about 3/4 inch cubed - cut int small chunks
1 garlic clove sliced
1tbs soy sauce
c. 1/2 small tin sweetcorn
1 -2 spring onion, chopped
1 small carrot, grated (optional)
You can also add 1/2 tsp sweetener if you feel the need to take the edge off the saltiness.

Chuck together in a pan and bring to the boil. Simmer for 10 minutes until noodles tender. Would serve 2.

helenahandbag · 28/09/2015 21:27

Well, I somehow managed to lose half a pound! I almost fell off the scales in shock Grin

I've batch cooked some spicy chicken pasta (syn free) so that's lunch sorted for the next three days. I'm determined to get a good loss next week, tonight was a total fluke and I can't get too comfortable!

calzone · 28/09/2015 22:10

B.....fruit and yoghurt

L....thin HEB, smoked salmon, crayfish, salad & Mayo

D....macaroni cheese
