I am VERY pleased to announce that I am no longer obese, I am now merely overweight! 3.5lbs lost this week, takes me to a BMI of 29.9 - I am very proud of myself.

I actually find setting myself small weekly/biweekly goals is really helping - so getting those half stones, but also looking to round off the equivalent in pounds (3.5stone is 49 lb, but add anther pound - 50lb! Then BMI drops, then dress sizes....I am now looking to get below 13st for next week or the week after - then another 2lb to get to 4st. By breaking it up into bite sized goals, I find my focus is better.

Huge botch at group tonight.

Everyone gained!!!!!

Consultant was devastated & kept crying. People were cross. We think that the scales were wrong......

OP posts:
backinschool · 16/09/2015 23:22

That's ridiculous Calzone. It must be an error on the scales surely. Worth an apology for sure but tears from the consultant Hmm. I'd find it hard to take her seriously after that. I really hope they get it all sorted out for you next week.

CiderwithBuda · 17/09/2015 13:50

After a 4lb loss last week I gained 2 this week. All my own fault.

Onwards and downwards!

Calzone - sounds like a nightmare! Can't believe the consultant was crying though - unless it was because people were angry at her.

FannyFanakapan · 17/09/2015 15:53

blimey calzone, that wasnt good! must be the scales, surely - for a whole group to gain (unless you have all be out secretly gorging donuts?) - or maybe evryone wearing heavier wintery clothing?

Ragwort · 22/09/2015 08:57

A question for calzone as you seem to be the oracle on SW Smile.

Why is one piece of bread only allowed as a HE but potatoes/pasta/rice is unlimited? Surely they are all carbohydrates?

Is there any scientific reasoning behind this or is it to get you out of the habit of eating too much bread?

Thanks.

zappy1998 · 22/09/2015 10:27

Hi ladies.. I'm going to start slimming world today. Not going to group going to try myself as I have books from before..I know what to do just have to do it ..lol

CiderwithBuda · 22/09/2015 11:12

Ragwort - I've wondered that too. I do limit potatoes/pasta though.

Good luck Zappy.

I was a bit rubbish at the weekend. Very rubbish on Saturday.

Got my head back in the game yesterday. DH is away again so I find it easier. Not tempted by wine for starters.
