B: boiled eggs, toast (hexB) , cherry tomatoes, 1 leftover LMC sausage
L: Leeks, ham, extralight primula cheese (1/2 hexA)
D: roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, gravy (2s) cabbage, runner beans, swede, carrots. Tiny slice of Tart AU CItron (7 syns). mouthful of tayberry and apple pie (counting as 3 syns). Glass of wine (6 syns)

18 syns today. Need to rein it back in next week. WHats everyone cooking?

I'm making pastitsio tomorrow, then in the week we are having gammon, with leftovers in a leek, potato and gamon bake the next night. WIll probably also make a stir fry. Kids are having fish fingers and chips one night (by popular demand) which gets me to Friday again.

backinschool · 06/09/2015 20:52

L: weetabix (HexB) and milk (HexA) with tsp sugar (1syn)
D: pasta with chicken, pesto (2 syn), lf mozzarella (2.5 syns), grilled peppers, tomatoes, broccoli

First weigh in tomorrow and I'm quite nervous - fingers crossed I actually lose something. I'm off to browse through the magazine now and find some recipes for next week.

Good morning, can I join you? I'm starting today, trying to do it by myself as can't justify paying for group atm and I don't really have much weight to lose - just want to get healthier! I'm bfing a 3 month old so have added in some extra HEs and allowed for 15 syns.

Today have planned:

B: overnight oats (HEx1B) made with almond milk (HEx2A), nuts (HEx3B), sultanas, cinnamon

L: cous cous, chickpeas, veg and salad, maybe a hard boiled egg if needed

D: bean and vegetable stew (allowing 4 syns for olive oil)

Snacks: Babybel (HEx4A), apple/other fruit, bread & cheese (HEx5B & 6A), almonds

Does this sound ok? I need to go food shopping this morning so was a bit limited for breakfast. I really don't like the idea of oil sprays and diet drinks (though there is a bottle of diet coke in the fridge that I'll probably end up drinking) so I'm trying to stay away from those.

backinschool · 07/09/2015 10:44

blibblobblub - I'm a newbie so not sure how to adjust your healthy extras for when you are still feeding. I think the most important thing is to make sure 1/3 of each meal is speed foods (most veg or fruit). If you don't want to use fry light you can buy a spritzer for your olive oil (or use an old fry light bottle). I think you'll use less oil than pouring but it's still good oil. Good luck with it!

I lost 5lbs this week which is fab. For some reason though I still don't believe it will keep working - it seems too easy for a diet. Will keep going though and hope the lbs keep coming off.

FannyFanakapan · 07/09/2015 20:03

Fanny
What was the pastitzio like?

OP posts:
FannyFanakapan · 07/09/2015 22:17

I liked it and more importantly, the kids liked it, but I found the mince a little bland and would add more seasoning possibly - just needed a bit more punchy flavour - but I did eat a good portion!! made the sauce that goes on the top from quark, FF greek yoghurt, nutmeg and an egg, and although it sort of curdles, it was tasty. I think adapt a non-SW recipe possibly for the seasoning/herbs side?

Forgot to add that I had a mini babybel light grated on top as part of my hexA.

calzone · 08/09/2015 07:33

Fanny....would the awesome cauliflower sauce work on the pastitzio? Using feta in the sauce perhaps?

OP posts:
FannyFanakapan · 08/09/2015 15:55

yes, I think so, I did consider it. Id be concerned that the garlic would overwhelm the other flavours. BUt it would still be nice!

FannyFanakapan · 08/09/2015 18:32

B: Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, tomato
L: Pastitsio leftovers with salad
sn: Fruit
D: Salmon, noodles, stirfry. Yoghurt

blondiejess1982 · 08/09/2015 22:32

I have gained over half a stone since finding out was pregnant. I have felt so sick I have struggled to eat anything healthy and struggled with exercise. Now I feel sick still but feel able to eat normally again. I am only 11 weeks so no excuse for the weight gain! I am not doing SW to lose weight really, just to eat healthily and to ensure any gain is due to baby not overindulging in the wrong food !

CiderwithBuda · 09/09/2015 11:42

Weigh in for me today. 4lbs off! Yay!

Happy with that. I have to admit to not following SW 100% but I have been eating healthy food. And mainly SP the last few days. Main difference is I have cut out wine. Except Saturday night and one small glass on Sunday.

Makes such a difference!

I'm going to Dublin today until Monday. Two nights out planned and fish and chips tonight. Next week may not be so good!

backinschool · 09/09/2015 12:07

That's great Cider. I spoke to a lady last week who had 2 big nights out and a wedding and still lost 1lb so you never know. Hope you enjoy your trip either way.

I'm full of cold and DD2 was up a lot in the night so I'm shattered. I really just want to stuff myself on comforting carbs and chocolate. I really can't be bothered with veggies or salad. I'm making some lovely slimming world chips but I'm going to try to leave it at that. Luckily there isn't any chocolate in the house and I can't be bothered to go out for any.

FannyFanakapan · 09/09/2015 21:02

B: Fruit, yoghurt
L: Chicken teriyake and noodles - Im going to court 10 syns
D: Gammon, potato, veg, yoghurt. 3 maltesers(1.5s)

not too bad a day I think, depending on how those noodles are costed out.

Ain626 · 09/09/2015 23:11
