RavioliOnToast · 09/06/2015 14:30

thanks King how's your week so far?

OP posts:
KingOfTheStupids · 09/06/2015 16:43

I had a planned day off this week for a family birthday party on Sunday and I've estimated that I had about 80 syns that day Blush.

Other than that I've been pretty good.

I've got weigh in tomorrow so I'm hoping Sunday hasn't scuppered me for this week. We are having salad for tea tonight to give me as good a chance as possible Grin

RavioliOnToast · 09/06/2015 20:19

ah excellent :) if you had a good time it makes it worth it though. the day I had 130 was the best day of my life in a long time because I was absolutely alone Grin

you'll have to keep us posted on your weigh in results.

so far in sw, what is your favourite meal? or have you been surprised by something you thought would be very syn-ful and wasn't?

KingOfTheStupids · 10/06/2015 10:30

Another 3.5lbs off this week! Smile that's 1st 4.5lbs in a month!!! I'm over the moon with that. I'm hoping to do another 2.5lbs this week to get my 1.5st award Grin

I think I'm most impressed about being able to have a full cooked breakfast syn free (or 5 syns if I want sausage). Also, I love pasta so this diet works really well for me, although I try not to go too over the top with the pasta portions.

We are having aubergine parmigiana tonight which I think will be about 11syns, but that includes full fat mozzarella so I could do it for less if I wanted but I don't.

Buttwing · 10/06/2015 20:52

Well done ravioli and king

I've just got home and I've lost 2 and a half pounds this week. So that's 2 stone 10 and a half in total. I'm really pleased. :-)

TalcumMucker · 11/06/2015 20:06

Good to see everyone having a great week! I had 3.5lbs off this week too King which I wasn't expecting, I really thought it would all slow down by now! 10.5lbs to target!

KingOfTheStupids · 11/06/2015 20:26

Wow! Fantastic weight loss everyone Grin

WhyIRayLiotta · 16/06/2015 11:26

Wow! You are all doing amazing! I had 3lbs off which I'm happy with. But had a twirl yesterday and some crisps and cake at work. I'm doing insane hours and find it harder to meal plan cook from scratch. But I'm persevering!

Buttwing · 16/06/2015 13:08

Great to hear everyone is doing so well!

I'm doing some sp this week I can't get to a group for two weeks and I'm determined to have a good weight lose when I go back.
I thought I would find it really hard but it's been fine only did it yesterday and today!
Wish I could wave a magic wand and it would alll just melt away Wink

RavioliOnToast · 23/06/2015 12:40

I gained 2lbs at group last night. i didnt go last week, couldn't make it.

need to get my big fat head back in the game. today I've had 2 weetabix with loads of strawberries, and a muller light.

I currently have pasta simmering away for dinner, to which I will add a bit of quark, Paprika, chilled sweet chilli chicken pieces, and a shit load of salad.

for dinner, I am going to do chilli, green beans and sw chunky chips.

ooh and the poundshop do a box of 40 calypso Disney freeze pops for 0.5 syns per 2 pops so may have one of those later.

how are you all doing? good losses I hope? Grin

Do you have any vacancies for new buddies?! I just started last week. Weigh in thurs but doing online and only have decent scales at work and don't work Thursday so first weigh in tomorrow instead! Am finding it ok- missing rice cakes, ryvita etc bizarrely! I want to lose at least 1.5stone, and will then reassess.

It's funny, I don't think I eat too badly but struggle to lose weight... It's only now that I'm eating within stricter parameters that I can sort of see it- eating too late, eating the right things but too much of them, etc! Anyway, would be delighted to join you if you'll have me, and well done to you all for your impressive losses so far!

RavioliOnToast · 23/06/2015 13:18

of course Apple

how are you finding doing it online? are you still sticking to it?

OP posts:
AppleSnapple · 23/06/2015 13:44

Thanks! Online is good- there's a decent app which you can just put in any food and it'll tell you whether it's free or how many Syns etc, and you can download the lists of everything-- tbh I would go to a meeting but there is none locally that would suit.

I think I'm doing ok, have stuck to it ok, and am really hopeful for even a little loss tomorrow- I think that's the thing that motivates, isn't it- if you see you're losing weight you want to keep going! So fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Do I need to publish my stats, as it were?! I am currently (or was, last wed night) 12st 3lb. I would like to get down to 10st 7lb. I started exercising 3 months ago, for first time since preg with ds1 (and he's now 5!) but although I feel much better in myself, I didn't lose anything so I am now tackling diet in earnest too. Fingers crossed- I have lost a 1/2 stone here or there over the last 2 years and put it back on... I'm pretty much the same weight as I was 2 years ago, when ds2 was 6 months old! So some of it is baby weight, and the rest.,, well, that's probably just my appetite!! Grin

Thanks for the lovely welcome and I'll let you know how tomorrow goes!

PS just roasted some peppers, courgettes, onions and tomatoes and mixed in with some garlic and coriander couscous for lunch- delicious and ds2 liked it too!

RavioliOnToast · 23/06/2015 19:04

we get access to the app when using the group. I would have preferred online but need someone to kick me into touch Wink

what are we all having for Tea? Grin

OP posts:
AppleSnapple · 23/06/2015 20:57

I think online is a bit of a swizz in that case! You have to pay £60 for 3 months up front but realistically you just really need the info re Syns, free foods, healthy choice whatsits etc -- you don't need to log on every day because there is no "my fitness pal" style food logging bit which I thought there would be. So apart from the app, I don't think one would really need a 3 month membership! But whatever gets me started I suppose. I have a friend who has been doing it (via meetings) for past 6m or so so she's a handy resource for info!

For dinner I made a really nice chicken nasi goreng with fresh peas, fresh sweet corn, carrots and broccoli. Delish! And, almost free I think?? I accidentally (ahem) ate a (fair)bit of the boys pasta at their tea time, it was just plain wholemeal pasta but still... That's my worst time of day, nibbling their food (that and getting in from work at 22.30 2 days a week and STARVING and making all the wrong choices!)

AppleSnapple · 23/06/2015 20:58

I appear to be incapable of making a short post! (Apart from this one)

Buttwing · 23/06/2015 22:05

Hi apple :)

I had a dodgy week last week and gained 15lbs so have decided to sp all this week I've done ok so far and stuck to it 100% so it will be interesting to see how well it works. I'm missing chips, pasta and rice though!!!

I've had chicken and roasted veg with garlic and italian herbs it was nice -but better with spuds-

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Buttwing · 23/06/2015 22:06

That's should have said 1.5lbs! 15lbs would have been an amazing achievement Grin

AppleSnapple · 23/06/2015 22:20

Wow my jaw dropped at 15lb Grin

So... When you say nicer with spuds... Are spuds not free? Just sweet potato?

Also I'm eating rice, pasta and couscous... I know technically all free but presumably I ought to limit how much per day, or only one type per day? I still find it all quite confusing!

(PS 1.5lb gain not bad!)

Bithurt · 24/06/2015 00:54

Hi. I'd like to join your group too please. I'm rejoining on Friday. I mucked about on sw all last year and have taken a few months off so I'm ready to get back to it. I'm looking forward to it. I've started writing my meals down since Monday. I'm guessing ill have about 3 stones to lose but i'll see on Friday.

KingOfTheStupids · 24/06/2015 10:03

Hi Bit and Apple

Potatoes are free but I think Buttwing is doing a Extra Easy SP week where you just eat foods that are listed with an S or P next to them in the free foods list. These foods are low carbs and really boost your weight loss.

I had my weigh-in this morning and lost another 4lbs Shock. However I do put this down to having flu last week Grin. I'm 3lbs off my 2 stone award so I'm going to try and be extra good this week and see if I can get there.

AppleSnapple · 24/06/2015 10:29

Ooh well done king! My 1st weigh in today... have lost 3.5lb. Which is great, obviously, as only started 6 days ago but annoyingly weighed myself on Monday and I was 11st 13.5 and today I am 12st... Silly I know as a pound or two is neither here nor there. Anyway let the weight loss commence, I will definitely have a weight starting with "11" next week!!

Buttwing · 24/06/2015 12:45

Hi bit :)

Apple yes king is right I'm doing sp which is to boost my weight loss before I go away a week on Friday it's quite restrictive and I much prefer the extra easy plan with free potatoes, pasta etc but I really want to get my 3 stone award before I go.

Well done king that's amazing :)

Buttwing · 24/06/2015 12:46

So sorry apple well done to you too 3.5 is fantastic!!
