Anyone want to jump back on the SW wagon with me next week?

I did really well on SW last year until about August when it all went horribly wrong.

We had a good virtual group on here. A lot of us were doing it ourselves rather than going to a group but we had some fantastic 'group losses'.

Does anyone want to join me next week and get going again? I am planning to weigh in on the 6th...

Good luck tonight lisad!

Have Tesco coming with my sw shop, have all my meals planned for the week. I meal plan anyway to save money, but find if everything is planned it takes the idea of choice away, I can't choose not to eat properly.

todays plan
b - 2 weetabix, milk from allowance
l - omelette with mushrooms, ham, peppers and red onion
d - meatballs and pasta (with lots of veg in the sauce!)

snack for after gym will be a banana and yogurt.

will have a flump 1.5, and a bag of pom bears 5, and maybe a go ahead cherry thin for my syns.

Weather is really awful here and ds1 isn't back to school until tomorrow. Hoping the boredom wont get to me and convince me to go picking!

Peeing down here :(

Wish I was organised to meal plan but not - plus sometimes I want a certain food

B cereal and milk and grapes and peach
L jacket beans and lots of salad
T salmon rice and veg

A&b breakie
S crisps and mayo

I seem to live off jacket and beans at the moment but it's free and fill sme up

Anyone else find they eat a lot of a certain meal?

blondes we eat risotto an awful lot. The kids really like it, its free on sw, its easy to pack loads of veg in and its cheap.

OK Im in too

Just had third baby and need to lose 1.5 stone. Ive done SW before but I cant make it to a group anymore.

Il start by listing what Ive had today.

breakfast = bran flakes with loads of strawberry fat free yogurt and banana, coffee (option b for the bran flakes)

lunch = just had jacket potato and baked beans (all free)

dinner = going through an old slim world magazine I found a chicken tagliatelle recipe, I have chicken left over from roast yesterday, adding a pot of low fat creme frais, tomatoes, courgette and mushrooms

My kids wont eat this so I have to cook separatey for them.

What is shredding? I like the sound of it.

How does the online support thread on here work??

Ps> id like to do more risotto but i asways thought it took ages and you have to stand over it and watch it cook.

Is there an easier way to do it that I am missing??

Risotto is so easy.
I fry onions garlic and literally anything I want to add like mushrooms courgettes spring onions or anything. Then add rice and stir to coat it in the flavours.
Then add veg or chicken stock a bit at a time (I just chuck it in tbh) dinner until rice cooked or water absorbed (add more stock if not) then I stir in peas and prawns and some creme fraiche. Parmesan if you want.
Serve with rocket and lemon wedges.

Hi ladies started again today did not find it as hard as when I started it this time last year. We are going to Frankie and Bennys for my little girls birthday at the weekend and I will have what I want and a slice of cake because I gave birth to her so deserve it Grin.

Hi to the oldies and welcome newbiews.

How did you do Lisa?

'Waves to laughalot'

Risotto / I make a fab tuna one. Literally fry onions then I add finely chopped carrots courgettes red and yellow pepper and my rice and pint if stock and leave to simmer and absorb - then flake in tuna

Have also done a bacon/ham one - same method

Forgotten I had made those last year - will maybe make tomorrow

So, back on plan today Grin.

B - Fruit and yogurt
L - Jacket potato with cottage cheese and beetroots
D - Veggie sausage casserole with plain rice.

Will also have an Options Hot Chocolate before bed (2 syns)

Have had lots of fruit and carrot sticks as snacks during the day, plenty of herbal tea and water.

Tomorrow and Wednesday could be interesting as I have two days in a hotel including overnight which isn't great. Shop being delivered on Wednesday night so I'm planning SW paella for Thursday night and butternut squash curry for Friday.

Hope everyone has a good week! Well done to those who have already lost lbs.

Mond I fry off whatever veg, throw in 300g of rice and 600ml of stock, put a lid on it and leave it until it soaks up all the water. I grill some bacon and put it on top, or use leftover chicken, or stir in some prawns a few mins before the end. Literally anything goes with risotto!

You get more healthy extras if you're breastfeeding. I can't remember exactly but I think it's something like 4 extra healthy extras while ebf then down to 2 extra healthy extras once you start weaning or mix feeding.

I am still breastfeeding too mostly how old is your baby? Ds is 17 months so I am just following the normal plan. More healthy a's would be nice tho!

Made smoked haddock and pea risotto for tea. It was fantastic and syn free.

Yummy recipe for tea tonight.
I marinated some fish in soy sauce, ginger, garlic and chilli then stir fried it with carrot, broccoli, spring onions and bean sprouts.
Really light and delicious.
I'm recovering from surgery so I'm not on board 100% as I'm needing stuff like toast for my "light diet" but I'm still doing ok especially if we don't talk about the whole tube of fruit pastilles I ate earlier Hmm
I'm going to make more veggie currys and chillies. Are lentils and stuff free can anyone tell me.
What is the best sw cake recipe, sometimes only a bit of cake will do it.

SW cake is crap ime. I did make a nice choc cheesecake that I found on the website but then I worked out that I could have had a slice of normal bought cheesecake for only 2 syns more and considerably less faff.

I've eaten anything not nailed down for the past 2 days. I was blaming back to work blues but then af arrived today and I suddenly remembered that I do this for the 2 days before it's due every month, and it's always a surprise Hmm. Now I've got the pmt over with I seem to be back on plan and happy with it.

Ledkr · 07/01/2014 21:02

Yes I notice that with some of the stuff, I think, we'll I could have just had a normal one....
Good example is ww crisps and biscuits, just the same as normal ones.

I've just had a yogurt but I'm craving something better.

I'm stick in bed though so miles away from the kitchen luckily.

Hi everyone, I joined a slimming world thread last year but I couldn't do it by myself. So I decided to join a group, first one is tomorrow evening. I hope that going once a week will force me into sticking to it. Quite scared somehow, which I know is silly.

Also it's at 7.30pm so surely weigh in will be different each week considering on what I have been eating/drinking? I might weigh myself in the morning as well.

I would love to lose almost 4 stone.
