Anyone want to jump back on the SW wagon with me next week?

I did really well on SW last year until about August when it all went horribly wrong.

We had a good virtual group on here. A lot of us were doing it ourselves rather than going to a group but we had some fantastic 'group losses'.

Does anyone want to join me next week and get going again? I am planning to weigh in on the 6th...

Only1 - no need to weigh free foods. I felt exactly the same as you when I first joined, I thought there was no way I could lose weight when I was eating so much - I was wrong. I lost 9lbs in my first week!

Only1scoop · 19/02/2014 20:40

Really....that's amazing....just worked out my syns though at 13.
Do you think I need to cut that down to really use.
I've had
Ten olives
Small glass wine
1 spoon low fat dressing
2 stick kitkat.

Only1scoop · 19/02/2014 20:41

Sorry to really lose not use

muminthecity · 19/02/2014 21:39

I think as long as you're having less than 15 a day you will lose. I usually try to have less than 10 a day during the week and 15 at the weekend to make sure I get a decent loss.

Only1scoop · 19/02/2014 21:45

That sounds like a good idea

JakeBullet · 20/02/2014 19:47

I am guessing that this is the active SW thread?

Been doing SW since 7th January and have so far lost 20 lbs which is amazing seeing as I don't feel I am on any diet.

I weigh in on a Tuesday..

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2014 20:25

Thanks.....am so determined this time,

Habe ordered a crisp maker for syn free crisps from eBay after a lively discussion in our SW FB group.....some great recipes been shared there.

Am hoping for a 2lb weight loss this week as I have been angelic so far.Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2014 23:28

Some cons say syn free crisps are ok - others say tweak and need syning

I did try making them and thought ok - tho prefer real
Crisps :)

muminthecity · 20/02/2014 23:45

Well done Jake, that's a brilliant loss.

I've been good today, out all day, 2 hours of ice skating and lots of walking so a fair bit of body magic! Had lunch out but made sensible choices.

B - Banana
L - Jacket potato with beans, cheese and salad followed by another banana
D - Pasta Bolognese with salad
S - Muller light yoghurt and some Ryvita minis (HEB.)

saintmerryweather · 21/02/2014 06:50

Well done jake 20lbs is great!

My collarbones are starting to emerge now, I havent seen those in a while!

JakeBullet · 21/02/2014 08:45

My cons says the "syn free crisps" are a tweak too Smile Smile . She says syn free unless weight loss stops. ...if that happens then they either have to go....or be synned.

I have also splashed out and bought an Actifry which is fabulous for proper syn free chips. I have cooked loads of stuff in it though, a really good purchase.

BigArea · 21/02/2014 09:15

Hello everyone can I hop on board?

I have reached a point in life where my fitness, weight and skin are are all less than ideal and I really need to do something about it.

I've not tried SW before - had good success with WW pre-DD but get the impression SW is simpler, more family friendly and more sustainable?

Can I do it myself using a book rather than paying online/class subs? If so what book would you recommend? TIA Smile

JakeBullet · 21/02/2014 10:19

Hi Big, yes you can do it yourself...am fairly certain you can get the starter packs from eBay.

Personally I like the group, we have our own FB site too now and it's a real laugh and great for sharing recipes and experiences.

I like SW as I can see it being something I could follow for life...I don't feel like I am on a diet as such......just healthy eating. I have even had nights out and still lost weight.

I did stay the same weight this week but after all those nights out I was waiting for it to catch me up.

When I weigh in on Tuesday though it will show a loss.

fluffygal · 21/02/2014 11:24

Forgot to check in!! Lost 5 pounds at weigh in on Monday, biggest so far!! I wasn't well last week and didn't eat much for two days so putting it down to that! Plus did an extra fight klub class which helped. Definitely noticing the difference now. Lost 1 stone 4 pounds, just under 8 pounds to target now..

fluffygal · 21/02/2014 11:33

jake I don't go to group. I was part of one before Christmas but felt it was a waste of money for me. I do it on my own now and have been doing ok!

fluffygal · 21/02/2014 11:36

Not jake, I meant big !

Only1scoop · 21/02/2014 16:02

I'm really inspired by hearing these great losses....I've bought a little book called 100 extra easy days for inspiration....just planning my next feed!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/02/2014 16:36

lost 2 lbs :)

well done fluffy-fab loss :)

fluffygal · 21/02/2014 17:26

What inspired me 1scoop was my sister posting a food diary for a week on her Facebook page. She is a slimming world consultant in Sale. She set herself a challenge to lose 2 pounds in a week to show it can be done by eating loads. And she did it! I couldn't believe how much she ate, and I got loads of tips for snacks, sweet treats etc. Like jelly and meringue, rich tea biscuits. And some different meals. It really helped me as I was starting to get fed up with what I was eating. So mini meringues are my new best friend, on their own, in muller lights, I love them! 1 syn per meringue.

fluffygal · 21/02/2014 17:28

Well done blonde that's great!! I am hoping for 3 pound on Monday. I have sneaky weighed last night and had lost 2 pounds, this is the problem when you are doing it yourself and have scales in the house!

fluffygal · 21/02/2014 17:31

Ooh also me again, I went clothes shopping today, and I liked what I saw in the changing rooms. Its been soooo long since I felt like that and everything I tried on fitted!

muminthecity · 21/02/2014 18:39

Well done Blondes and Fluffy, fab losses!

Fluffy - I love clothes shopping now. When I started back in April I was a size 24 and could only really shop in Evans which is bloody expensive! I'm a size 14 now and can shop anywhere - I got some great bargains in the sales a few weeks ago.

I feel like I've eaten loads today but I've done ok, syns wise.

B - Banana and grapes
L - Small pack of sushi (2 syns) and a mugshot
D - LF sausages, SW chips, peas and beans
S - Yoghurt, mango and a biscuit (3.5 syns.)

Only1scoop · 21/02/2014 19:55

Fluffy I didn't realise meringues were so low syn for a mini one....I'm going to be treating myself!

Just done a lovely all free beef stir fry out of my little book....bloody lovely Grin

Out for lunch tmrw....I don't even want to go....scared to blot my copybook on first weekBlush

laughalot · 22/02/2014 14:13

Well done girls :)
