Hope everyone finds the new thread 😂 and new chatterboxes are welcome to join us and battle through the night feeds together (with or without the assistance of EBLL [Ewan's back left leg!) 🐏

@HashtagTired Stollen!!! I looove stollenSmile oh now I really want some... just having a large coffee and brown toast with jam. I've been obsessed with brown toast with jam since coming out of hospital. I was absolutely starving after my c-sec and the toast they gave me tasted amazing.
Only had a total of 4.5 hrs sleep. Ds slept again from 8-9 am but I had to stay awake and wait for a phone call, but it meant that I managed to do a bit of cleaning and tidying. I've got a friend coming over to see his little lordship and she has offered to bring us some lunch so that's great.
I haven't been outside since last Friday! My dp has gone back to work and we live on 3rd floor with no lift and I don't feel strong enough to carry the pram down the stairs but I could really do with a little walk soon... I must get onto ordering that sling. I find it hard to decide which one though but I don't want to pay more than £80

NinaMarieP · 30/11/2017 10:26

Love that video. That is so my LO!

GingerHanna · 30/11/2017 10:36

@Jellybean2017 and @theotherendofthesockportal I just read the newborn section this morning - definitely worth it. I feel a huge sense of relief having what feels like a guiding hand

Jellybabie3 · 30/11/2017 10:54

@HashtagTired cute. We also have the decs down ready to go tomorrow. I've been ordering away so will be wrapping soon too Smile

AMagdalena · 30/11/2017 11:10

@Jellybean She eventually feeds a bit, but it takes a lot of work to get here there! She cries when she sees my breast Sad I know they go on a nursing strike around this time, but she has been struggling with reflux for a while now, so worried she's developed an aversion.
I've told my GP and they can't offer any advice. Going to speak to my HV tomorrow.

Jellybean2017 · 30/11/2017 11:43

Thanks @gingerhanna I'm going to add it to my Xmas list 😊 📖

@AMagdalena how many weeks is she now? Could she have sore gums (teething?) good idea to speak to your health visitor.

DS has been asleep for over an hour but I made the rookie error of leaving my biscuits out of reach 🙈🙈🙈

I’ve treated myself to the large Millie’s cookie with icing !!!! I blame this thread.

Still no rest over 2 hours here at night at almost 13 weeks while co-sleeping. Also won’t be put down to nap, it’s half reflux issues however so I can’t get angry at him. Only positive is that he will
Tolerate the pram for about an hour now which is huge progress.

AMagdalena · 30/11/2017 13:04

Jellybean Maybe she is teething, I don't know, but we've had so many other symptoms that I really don't want healthcare professionals to just put it down to teething (which they happily do).
Could be fussy behaviour (we're still in leap 4 and seeing signs of leap 5 at the same time).
Maybe she's just a mardy moo and will eventually come round, but it is very upsetting. She took some ebm from a spoon, but would not go on the breast.

Jellybean2017 · 30/11/2017 13:11

@AMagdalena I can imagine it must be upsetting. Hopefully it will pass very quickly. Your baby girl sounds so similar to my little boy, he's definitely the grumpiest baby I have ever met. Hopefully it means they will be easier in later years...

Jellybean2017 · 30/11/2017 13:12

@LovingTyrells sounds like you've earned the cookie(s 😊) I'm having a healthy soup for lunch following the demolition of a whole pack of biscuits which said it contained 22 servings on the side 😳

AMagdalena · 30/11/2017 13:21

Jellybean I always think that our LO's sound very similar 🙈 Surely, they will be easy-going toddlers...
Don't get me wrong, when she smiles, she lights up the room, but is generally very fussy. Not to mention her sleeping ha!

Lovingtyrells · 30/11/2017 13:52

@Jellybean2017 a pack of biscuits is one serving for a sleep deprived mamma in my book

AMagdalena · 30/11/2017 14:29

I have only identified oaties and gigner nuts as dairy free so far! Need more options as I am a total cookie/biscuit monster.

Jellybean2017 · 30/11/2017 14:58

@amagdalena if you're on Facebook there is a good group called "Cmpa support for food finds and recipes" where people share information on foods that are dairy/soya free - worth a look as there's also info on things you can have at restaurants and takeaways 😊 yes here's hoping for easy toddler years!

AMagdalena · 30/11/2017 16:46

@Jellybean I shall have a look at it, thanks! Bern ravenous all say. I'd nornally stiff my face on biscuits or choc bars

Jellybabie3 · 30/11/2017 17:51

God what a crappy day. Everything that couldve gone wrong has. And now I have realised my car MOT has expired and I'm freaking out. Booked in tomorrow at 7.30am (!!) But I've been driving it for a week Sad could I have got caught???

Jellybean2017 · 30/11/2017 18:32

Hmm think it would be a fine, not sure if they do it electronically or not, hopefully not!

OP posts:
WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 30/11/2017 20:18

@jellybabie3 My MOT had been expired for 3 weeks and I'd been driving round oblivious, I got away with it and there was no fine altho I thought there would be. Think it must happen a lot and they give you leeway? Sorry to hear it was a crappy day.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 30/11/2017 20:20

How is everyone feeling tonight? DS hasn't done a poo all day which is most unlike him, so am a bit worried how that'll play out tonight. A poonami at 3am will not be fun!

AMagdalena · 30/11/2017 20:54

@WhoAte Gotta love a night poonami.

DD has had 2 better looking ones today. Really beginning to think dairy has been the issue.

Just had 2 boobs for supper and is currently sleeping on me in her non-sleeping bag.
DH has been evicted to the spare room as he has a nasty cold.

GingerHanna · 30/11/2017 20:59

Well second night of cluster feeding. What I thought was cluster feeding before I now know to have just been closely spaced feeds. I should have already pumped and been in bed an hour ago but DS has just fallen asleep on me after a half normal feed.

Had explosive somewhat liquid poo earlier so worries if that was a one off or something more sinister. Will have to wait and see.

Jellybean2017 · 30/11/2017 21:06

No poo here yet either 🙈 was hoping for a better night as he napped well today (in sling) however it's taken him 90 mins to feed to sleep! Good luck all. No doubt be back soon!

OP posts:
AMagdalena · 30/11/2017 21:11

I can't mumsnet and feed lying down (I know, terrible) cause I would need my glasses on which would be uncomfortable...
My absence overnight certainly does not mean the non-sleeping child is asleep.

really hoping she does a decent stretch, be it in my bed as gave to get her weighed early tomorrow. Well, 10am ykwim

Jellybean2017 · 30/11/2017 21:16

He's awake. 🙈
