Hope everyone finds the new thread 😂 and new chatterboxes are welcome to join us and battle through the night feeds together (with or without the assistance of EBLL [Ewan's back left leg!) 🐏

Totally normal @Sakura03. I wasn’t using the app during clusterfeeding but it was just like you describe. 10-15 feeding, fall asleep for 5-10 minutes and then back to feeding, anywhere from 3-6 hours of that.

We’ve started getting our shopping delivered @HashtagTired. From Tesco which is where we usually shop. Means we have a whole weekend to ourselves instead of spending an afternoon doing the shopping. Has been great so far, hardly any substitutions and only sensible ones when there have been ones.

Tonight has been a mixed bag. 9 hours between feeds! NINE HOURS. 6.15-3.15.

Unfortunately he woke up at 11.40, 1.50 and 2.20 so I was up for 10-15 minutes each time and by 2.10 I was starving and needing to pee and had period cramps too. So I was up to the loo etc then only dozed after that.

But it’s a start!

Oh yeah and he head butted me in the nose pre-nappy change, head butted me in the cheek post-nappy change (and screamed the place down) and also projective vommed on my boob. And through the towel I have down.

Jellybean2017 · 20/11/2017 04:16

DS is adorable. His eyes are so big and shiny in the darkness. However. They should be closed and sleeping!!

Mixed bag, @NinaMarieP 😂

GingerHanna · 20/11/2017 04:26

Well that failed. DH changed his nappy and declared himself done... put DS in crib and fell asleep himself. Not five minutes pass before DS is screaming blue murder. I therefore take him and say oh look he is rooting. So instead of taking him from me I have to ask him for the bottle which is on his side of the bed and feed him whilst DH looks at power tools online. Seriously?! Oh he needed something to occupy himself whilst I fed DS as there is nothing else he can do!!!

DS still unhappy so que mama cuddles. Think there may be more gas and/or reflux so lots of comforting and now put him back in the boob for food/comfort. DH has gone back to sleep. FFS

HashtagTired · 20/11/2017 04:36

Feed #3
He’s quite unsettled. Must be wind.

Ohb0llocks · 20/11/2017 04:46

I found my people 🙋🏻‍♀️

How are we all? Feeding here and watching river monsters.

We are going to baby massage tomorrow. Can hopefully start incorporating it into a bedtime routine for him. Does anyone do a bedtime routine?

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 20/11/2017 04:52

Mmm rice pudding! Starving too. Had a Nakd bar but it's not touched the sides.

Feed 3 here at 4. Just trying to get him down now.

@jellybean2017 8 hours seems like an impossible dream...DH will also be enjoying 8 hours. I've had about 3 hours broken sleep...cries

Oh and tip to first time parents - don't Google can sleep deprivation kill you. It's not helpful...

Sakura03 · 20/11/2017 05:00

@Jellybean2017 @HashtagTired @NinaMarieP
Thank you for commenting - it so reassuring to know as I nearly instructed my dp to get the emergency formula out of the cupboard...
Lo has done an hours sleep feed#3 has commenced... But sounds like there has just been an explosion in his nappy🙈🙈

sleepycat13 · 20/11/2017 05:34

hey everyone.
checking in for feed 3.... can't keep my eyes open.... need sleep ... ds now 7 weeks (how!!??)

Gierg · 20/11/2017 05:40

DS is 13 weeks old now! Shock a

Did alright through the night tbh. He fussed a few times but I just turned up the ocean waves (the poor mans Ewan) and that got another 30/40 mins out of him each time which was heaven as it meant he was in his own bed for a bit longer! Wanted feeding at 2am so the cluster feeding started then and he let us lay in bed together until 6 when he decided enough was enough and he simply NEEDED to play...

@Sakura03 I barely remember the first weeks tbh but yeah cluster feeding is super normal (and exhausting...) I also gave formula early on just so I could get some sleep and it’s kind of continued but it works for us and I love the wee block of sleep I get at the start of a night

Toonewtobehaving2 · 20/11/2017 05:48

Feed #2 here. Started At 0530. Not too bad. FKr bit of fusdibgvin the night though. But I think he's getting a littleness better At night

Jellybabie3 · 20/11/2017 05:55

Hello all, I made it too Smile feed #3 here. 6 week old DS has been much better tonight thank God. Spent the evening winding him at every opportunity after last nights disaster sleep. He took forever to go down but that may be My fault for trying to watch i'm a celebrity at the same time. So asleep at 11, up at 1.30 then 5am although this time with wind. Thought I would change him and give gripe water, then got back into bed. He then just did a few farts followed by a poo a large Labrador would be proud of (if it had unusually loose bowels). I'm kind of thrilled as i think theres a good chance he will now go back to sleep rather than do his usually grunt and wriggle wind routine. Fx!

Hv coming at 9am 😒 so no time for the usual lay about this morn

Sakura03 · 20/11/2017 05:56

Thanks @Gierg I'd never heard of it before ad then you start worrying and questioning your own ability. It's so exhaustingShock
Now my lo do want to go back bed I put him down but as soon as my head hit the pillow he was awake again.... I also think I need to find some reading material on cluster feeding as my dp keeps watching the clock and questions me (how am I suppose yo know, lo didn't come with a manuel). He thinks because I went to an antenatal breastfeeding class and have had advice in hospital that I ought to have all the answersAngry

Sakura03 · 20/11/2017 05:58

Oh and we've got Ewan the sheep too but haven't actually tried it out yet. I understand there are 4 different settings. What does your baby prefer?

Jellybabie3 · 20/11/2017 06:00

Ps. DS has just started holding my boob to feed. Aww

Sakura03 · 20/11/2017 06:03

@Jellybabie3 so cuteSmile

NinaMarieP · 20/11/2017 06:13

@Sakura03 it’s so knackering but it won’t last forever.

I’m up for feed #2, not even 3 hours since he last one. LO slept 1 hour 47. I was up at 5 to give him his dummy. He’s going to be in bed with me from now as he’ll never go in his basket.

It’s great that he’s going a long stretch between feeds but it’s almost pointless seeing as I’m up and down every few hours anyway! It’d almost be easier to feed him at 12-4-7.

Toonewtobehaving2 · 20/11/2017 06:19

DS is asleep on me. Think he might be a little cold. I can't reach another blanket from where I am so have used the phone to turn the heating on! Oh how wonderful is modern technology!
I've just seen how many mistakes are in my last lost! 😖🤔
I can only apologise.

I use Sainsbury's online. I found theynsent better dates than Tesco. But agree that the app is slow. X

Jellybabie3 · 20/11/2017 06:22

I use morrisons. Tried them all at some point but find morrisons excellent.

theotherendofthesockportal · 20/11/2017 06:25

Found you all :)

DD is 5 weeks old but was 5 weeks prem.

She has been as good as gold tonight, but I’ve been awake since 3am as her baby monitor decided it was running out of batteries and beeped every 30 seconds until 4am until I fingered out what the beeping was. I’m partially deaf and have no sense of sound direction. I know think everything and everyone is conspiring to keep me awake in the night.

DD has been awake since 5.10am and had soaked through nappy, clothes and bedding. I won’t use the Sainsbury’s nappies again! My MIL bought them and it’s twice this has happened now.

@GingerHanna your not alone with a DH who does stupid annoying things rather than being helpful. My DH has always been like this, once I was tidying the house as his judgemental mother was coming over and he was busy vacuuming the inside of his car - as if would look in there.

Bobbiepin · 20/11/2017 06:29

Feed #7 since midnight. DH usually gives a bottle at midnight and that helps but not tonight and we've been up every hour. I'm exhausted and so hungry.

Hv is coming today. I really hope she's put on a good amount of weight considering the amount she's been feeding.

HashtagTired · 20/11/2017 06:42

@Sakura03 it has to be Ewan’s back left leg for us.

Ceesadoo · 20/11/2017 07:05

My baby is 12 weeks. He has just caught his first cold and it’s the saddest thing. He won’t sleep unless on me as he’s struggling to breathe. We are visiting fam in Europe and I am desperate to go home. 😐

Lallypopstick · 20/11/2017 07:10

Co-sleeping seems to be the only thing getting us through the 4 month regression. Definitely going to be sharing a bed with this one until he’s 10!

londonloves · 20/11/2017 08:11

Re the next to me, I’m finding the same, my boy is so noisy it’s like sleeping in a farm yard!
