@Sakura03 I have an AMA wrap, it's quite stretchy but yes very soft. I tend to use the baby Bjorn though as it's much quicker to clip together, whereas the wrap to have to faff about tying. Have you looked at the buckled ones? I think they look much less hassle.

@GimbleInTheWabe Do you mean medela Calma? We tried this and DD wasn't having it but has happily taken Tommy Tippee and Medela slow-flow so not sure if that helps you, we've had no nipple confusion (although if she takes the breast immediately after she seems to be frustrated at the work she needs to put in for a bit!!

@SleepForTheWeek did you have CMPA diagnosed? It's been suggested my daughter has MSPI and I'm vegetarian too and all veggie/vegan alternatives seem to have Soy in them so finding it difficult to eat anything other than vegetables, fruit, fish and eggs - which I suppose will be good for me!

actino · 29/11/2017 05:48

Sorry I disappeared, Dd let me sleep for a while hour and a half! We're back up now, but she sleeps much better after 6 am, so we're on the home stretch.

AMagdalena · 29/11/2017 06:04

@SleepForTheWeek Welcome! My DD also has a suspected CMPA (one GP agrees, another doesn't) and been referred to see a peadiatrician. I have only been dairu free for a couple of days after a slip up. The vomiting is awwwfullll.

GingerHanna · 29/11/2017 06:19

Well DS wouldn’t settle after 03:00 feed. Too awake having slept most off the day due to previous bad night. Had to wake DH to help and agreed we will be keeping him awake more today. No trips out which will help as the pram does send him to sleep.

In first ‘day’ feed and I can smell his very full nappy. He is EBF and I’ve only just realized that a full nappy actually smells sickly sweet! Weird!

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 06:56

@OuchBollocks they are amazing cookies, right?!

@Ceesadoo we popped into Bath on Monday, on the way home from our weekend away. Love that place!

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 06:57

Cookies for breakfast?! Yes please 😍

@SleepForTheWeek sounds like a tricky night. Has your little one been ill with a cold? Could it be viral that's caused the sick?

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 07:07

@Sakura03 I've not used AMA wrap but based on what @anotherexhaustedpigeon has said, if it's stretchy then you'll only be able to use it for a short while. When they get older and stronger stretchy wraps are harder to use because they wriggle around and push off you which can be dangerous. I can't remember how old your lo is, but after a stretchy wrap I'd recommend graduating to a woven. Sell the stretchy to help fund it. I'm also a fan of slings over wraps as they are quicker to put together. The sling/wrap thing is so personal though, everyone likes something different.
For dd I used a moby (stretchy) then a woven wrap. I also had a conversion made.
For ds I tried the moby but couldn't be arsed with it and found it quite hot with all that material and went straight to a sling - connecta which with the strap adapter can be used from birth.

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 07:10

@GingerHanna "enjoy" these times of sweet nappy changes. When weaning starts you'll get all sorts of stink to deal with 😷🤢

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 07:11

Just finished feed #2. The boy did good. 3am then 6:30am 😘

theotherendofthesockportal · 29/11/2017 07:23

@WhoAteAllthePercyPigs and @actino where do you get the baby box from? I want one!

ValentineFizz · 29/11/2017 08:21

Hi ladies, thanks for the recommendations regarding wind, l will look into getting him something 😀

It looks like some of you had better nights last night 😄

Unfortunately l didn't....! DS cluster fed from 9pm to 1am, then back up at 4am - he looks like he might be about to nap now so I'm going to do the same! 😴

Sakura03 · 29/11/2017 08:21

@anotherexhaustedpigeon and @HashtagTired - thanks for your comments, in that case I’ll go for a sling!

After feed #2 we went back to bed at 5.35 am but ds wouldn’t settle and I had him up feeding again until nearly 6.40 am. He then woke me up at 7.35am. Now having another feed after producing a massive poo/wet nappie. I just want to go back to bed!!!

Jellybean2017 · 29/11/2017 08:26

Not too bad a night here. DS still feeling hot after his 16 week injections yesterday though 🤔 will keep on with the Calpol. Hoping to get out for coffee/lunch with a friend later today. DH isn't going to be home until really late so need to break the day up a bit!!

I have a good recipe for gooey cookies. Will find the link!

So having swapped notes with dh. It seems ds had a bottle at 8pm. Went to sleep at 9pm then woke for a feed at 3am. Wow!

No official diagnosis although under the care of a dietician. It's so difficult to know what to do!

She's not been unwell and is generally a happy wee thing, she wasn't upset when she was sick, quite unfazed!

If I had to cut soy out my diet there would almost literally be nothing I could eat as vegetarian too!!

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 08:57

@otherendofthesockportal I'm afraid you need to live in Scotland! They're sent to every new parent - have been since August this year I think. I felt a bit guilty getting one as there are so many needy people out there and we are not struggling. But they have one for everyone and it has come in handy.

Ok night here. DS woke at 2.45, then 5 and then 830 so boy done good! Still gonns have hobnobs for breakfast tho need to wait for DH to bugger out of the kitchen so no judgement

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 29/11/2017 09:15

@SleepForTheWeek yea I know I'm veggie too and don't eat fish unless its sustainable - I really struggle to eat out right now!!
DD has been horrific - feeding every 45 mins, screaming and fussing now just chewing her hand and gurgling happily but occasionally having a screaming fit, no sleep for me and can't put her down at all. Thank god for my Kindle 😵

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 11:30

Just bought cookies Grin

Sakura03 · 29/11/2017 11:57

@WhoAteAllthePercyPigs what flavour did you get? Enjoy😊

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 12:20

Milk choc chip. Just from Sainsbury's but very nice. Having one now while feeding DS, dropped crumbs into his ear! Also bought him another Christmas outfit - the most adorable Christmas pudding onesie! Well it is his first Christmas...Grin

Sakura03 · 29/11/2017 12:39

Funny you should mention getting your lo a Christmas outfit @WhoAteAllthePercyPigs, I’m just looking at some on the internet for my little ds😊

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 12:57

Hey, why have a kid if you're not going to dress them up in cute outfits? Grin we have a cuddly penguin snowsuit and I got him and DD matching Christmas outfits. Bring on the photo opps...
