Hope everyone finds the new thread 😂 and new chatterboxes are welcome to join us and battle through the night feeds together (with or without the assistance of EBLL [Ewan's back left leg!) 🐏

Yeah, I'd love to do some yoga or other exercise but I'm still recovering from the birth, so a 30 minute walk is really all I can manage right now.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 03:24

Not too bad here. First feed at 2.45, from 10pm.

All this talk of cookies is reminding me we have hobnobs downstairs and now I really, really want the entire packet one.

The baby box is ace @Gimbleinthewade! You get a ton of stuff: wrap, blanket, toys, clothes, thermometer, bath thermometer, condoms, and much more! The box itself is pretty good too, it comes with a mattress so you can put baby inside it. DS slept in it during the day for first week then I think he got tired of being hemmed in. I'd attach a pic but don't know how to do it?

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 03:25

Another sore back here @hashtag. Lower back is really suffering from night feeds and so much sitting! Can't wait to get back into exercise after I get the all.clesr.

actino · 29/11/2017 03:29

Heres a photo of the baby box. I've been really happy with what came in it, it's useful and practical stuff.

The box looks great.
What's the tall car d this standing up at the back?

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 03:39

@WhoAteAllthePercyPigs we have some of the most amazing cookies downstairs; we got them from a cookie shop on Monday.

So that means we need to eat them all up pretty quickly, doesn't it. Each one is the size of my hand and the chocolate chunks are just huge. The centre is like a cake, soft and smooth and chocolatey. I really want to eat one now. Like, right now. I can almost taste it. 🤤

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 03:40

Take a look at these beauties www.benscookies.com/our-cookies/

HashtagTired · 29/11/2017 03:42

I got all excited about their delivery, but we are out of area 😭

Probably not a bad thing for my waistline.

Jellybabie3 · 29/11/2017 03:47

Salivating

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 03:49

Nooo stop with the cookie porn @hashtag! Oh man what I'd give for one of those beauties. Totally you need to eat them, can't let them go stale!!

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 29/11/2017 03:50

Hashtag that's the lid of the baby box! It's illustrated, we're going to let DD loose with her paints on it I think...

mummarosie1 · 29/11/2017 03:58

And so we have our first cold.
Making me so sad seeing her so snuffely and uncomfortable. :(

Jellybean2017 · 29/11/2017 04:05

Wow. Those cookies 😍

I've had 3 feeds with DS 2 weeks; 10, 12 and 2.30. He's back up out of his cot with wind and writing the feeding times out has made me realise he will probably need/want feeding again soon. Sad

GimbleInTheWabe · 29/11/2017 05:06

@anotherexhaustedpigeon I'm using a medley bottle that's supposedly designed for breastfed babies. Took a bit of persistence but he's taken 3 bottles now (we're just doing one a day). I have a job on Friday which means I'll be away from DS for about 6 hrs (which I already feel guilty about!) so we have to get him used to the bottle so DP can look after him.

The box is so cool @actino and @WhoAteAllthePercyPigs! I got a Bounty pack from the NHS but it was pretty pants. It had some baby vit D which was good but then also some of those pasta n sauce things and some other strange promotional samples.

Anyway feed #1 since midnight completed but DS has been so bad at settling the last few days I'm not convinced he'll stay asleep for long.

GimbleInTheWabe · 29/11/2017 05:07

Sorry about the cold @mummarosie1, it bloody sucks doesn't it. And so sad to hear them sniffling away.

Totally going to make cookies now tomorrow @HashtagTired!

Ceesadoo · 29/11/2017 05:13

@HashtagTired omg those cooookies. Legit went online to see if I could get them delivered here. Alas I cannot. Where is the shop you went to?

OuchBollocks · 29/11/2017 05:16

hashtag juat by reading your description I knew it was Bens Cookies. Those gits are responsible for a fair proportion of my weight gain when I was at uni Blush best cookies in the world.

Ceesadoo · 29/11/2017 05:17

@mummarosie1 Baby's first cold is the worst. You will do everything you can for them and they will be okay. Hearing them struggling to breathe hurts my heart. Snufflebaby is great. As is saline nasal spray.

Sakura03 · 29/11/2017 05:19

Those cookies look amazing!!!
Unfortunately no sling library in my area but I’m thinking of buying the Ama wrap, it looks comfy for both mum and baby. Anyone got one of these?
Second feed started at 4.45 am after 1 hour 15 minutes sleep oh I wish he would do some longer stretches of sleep...
Cookies... I could so do with some or just one....

Ceesadoo · 29/11/2017 05:19

Leap 4 is still doing a number on us. He never slept well any way but this is a jokeee. Up for the 3rd feed since 2. And since he's got all funny with his day feeds, he's having full feeds each time he wakes. Bless him. He's really finding his hands though and he's doing these fascinating, almost hypnotic hand moves on my boobs while he feeds.

Still thinking about those cookies. 🐽

SleepForTheWeek · 29/11/2017 05:19

Can u join you all, on feed #3 with DD2 who is 5.5 months. Her last feed was an hour ago and she brought up the whole lot over me, herself and the bedsheets. DD1 is also in the bed with us so I couldn't change the sheets which means lying on towels.

She has suspected CMPA so I've had to cut that out my diet. This past week I've been trialing it again before weaning commences but she's been bringing up mouthfuls of sick then this huge spew tonight and considering she has never been sick previous to this I can only assume it's the dairy - delicious cheese is once again of the menu 😩

Ceesadoo · 29/11/2017 05:20

@Sakura03 I haven't tried the Ama wrap but if it looks comfy, go for it. Have you looked at Kaboo ones too? They seem nice and soft also.

Ceesadoo · 29/11/2017 05:23

@SleepForTheWeek so sorry you've had to deal with that this night :(( and to know that you can't even have 🧀 to console yourself. It must be so difficult. But if diet can help than I imagine you do whatever you can.

SleepForTheWeek · 29/11/2017 05:26

Cheese was my everything (I'm vegetarian so it made up quite a bulk of my diet) but after 4 months of not having it I'm actually not missing it as much - never thought I'd say that!! Feel more sorry for DD2 who won't be able to enjoy it.

She's just fallen asleep so going to ever so carefully place her back into the co sleeper. I'm wide awake now of course 🙄
