@HashtagTired 😂😂 Where did it gooo??

Glad it's not just me. Idk how people can comfortably cosleep all night. 7am get up? Do you have other children?

Ceesadoo · 24/11/2017 04:33

Oooh and new headphones. Fancy. What are you using them for during the small hours?

HashtagTired · 24/11/2017 04:36

Still haven’t found it.

Yes, A 5 year old dd. Dh goes to work at 7:30 and she wakes up early. He gets her sorted before he leaves but I need to be up and dressed and then walk her to school.

Not using the headphones yet. It’s more for gym purposes really. Or for those tunes I want to watch something on skygo (using my sisters account on my phone) and dh watches tv. Now I have a pair, I may use them more.

HashtagTired · 24/11/2017 04:37

Tunes = times

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 24/11/2017 04:42

Sympathy on the snot Hashtag! I'm just recovered from a cold, it was not nice but at least I could take Lemsip for it, had several colds whilst pregnant and hated not being able to properly medicate!

Really struggling tonight. DS is fussing on and off the boob, I think he's eaten my nipples right off, but he's windy too. Won't settle, just writhing around. Trying to prepare myself for no more sleep tonight. Seriously resenting DH who's fast asleep in the spare room.

Jellybabie3 · 24/11/2017 04:50

Just woke up. Ds is still asleep. His last feed was around 9-10pm. Should i wake him??

He stirred and opened his eyes about half hour ago but is zonkef again.

I'm bloody leaking everywhere lol

HashtagTired · 24/11/2017 04:53

@Jellybabie3 wow! That’s a huge sleep! Dunno about the waking. I’d be inclined to leave if he is not unwell.
I’m leaking here too. Lopsided now he fed from one but had enough.

Jellybean2017 · 24/11/2017 04:58

😂 wonder where you'll find the snot Hashtag haha!

I know! Thiis will be 3 rd time this week over 6 hours.....

I guess i was concerned because i was worried he was dehydrated from his soft spot earlier but dh told me it was nothing. He pretty much fed on/off all day and quite abit from 8pm. My boobs went very saggy feeling Confused

Lol i worry when he doesn't sleep. I worry when he does!!

Jellybabie3 · 24/11/2017 05:21

I jinxed it lol hes awake and ravenous.

What a wierd little baby I have. please God tell me this isnt a one off

GinUnicorn · 24/11/2017 05:32

So jealous JB. Our record is 4 hours

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 24/11/2017 06:04

Very jealous of the good nights! Worst one yet here. DS slept for 45 mins and now awake for another fucking feed. Still faffing about on my boobs. Times like this I hate breastfeeding!! I'm this close to just switching fully to formula.

Anyone else had a shit night and feeling desperate??

GimbleInTheWabe · 24/11/2017 06:06

Which headphones did you go for in the end @HashtagTired? Thank the lord for amazon prime hey! Also, st your 6w check up what did the doctor do? At mine yday all she did was check my BP and ask 'how are you?' I left and was annoyed that I didn't ask her to check if I had any ab separation but she never mentioned anything else

@Sakura03 another vote for a sleeping bag here. My DS has also been a blanket kicker from early on but he seems to really like the mori swaddle bag (too big for it now!) and he's upgraded the the bigger sleep bag. You're right though they have to be a certain size to fit them.

AMagdalena · 24/11/2017 06:22

@Jellybabie Maybe your DS has realised that sleep isn't just for the weak?

DD lasted about 40 minutes in the cot after 2nd attempt at putting her down, so we co-slept. She's a sod.
She was up every 3 hours or so, so pretty standard!
Will she ever sleep through (as in 6 hours at a time) is the question...

AMagdalena · 24/11/2017 06:23

Actually, she did 6 hours once at 11 weeks, but the record hasn't been yet repeated.

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 24/11/2017 06:30

@WhoAteAllthePercyPigs how old is your LO? Totally understand your frustration, it's a bloody mental battle for sure. Is there a BF clinic nearby? Or a La Leche League leader in your area? Whatever the problem is, it's either fixable or it's a phase that will pass - you are doing an amazing job

HashtagTired · 24/11/2017 06:30

@GimbleInTheWabe it was all about ds. Exactly the same as you.

theotherendofthesockportal · 24/11/2017 06:37

@GingerHanna @HashtagTired @WhoAteAllthePercyPigs thanks for the replies. I’m holding my head in horror knowing I’m only at the newborn stage. I’ve had about 2 hours of broken sleep tonight.

I’m that tired that my brain is no longer rational. I woke up and could smell a faint burning. As my smoke alarm wasn’t going off, I decided I had a undiagnosed brain tumour and that accounted for the smell. When DH woke up I’m informed him of my “brain tumour,” especially as he couldn’t smell the burning either.

He went downstairs for breakfast and came back to tell me that the burning smell is coming from outside. I’m normally a completely sane rational person and would never dream of diagnosing myself with something like that - thank you doctor google!

HashtagTired · 24/11/2017 06:40

@GimbleInTheWabe I went for the B&O Play h4 in the end 🙊

AMagdalena · 24/11/2017 06:45

@theotherend Sleep deprivation is a killer.
I remember waking DH up in the night once just to tell him the next time I sleep will be when I am dead. I meant it. I really thought I would never sleep again, that DD would keep me up 24/7 until I die.
Now we co-sleep most nights and while I a still tired, I am not sleep deprived.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 24/11/2017 06:46

Thanks @anotherexhaustedpigeon. DS is 3 weeks today but was 4 weeks premature, so has a lot of growing to do as he is only teeny. Guessing he's cluster feeding right now. I know from experience with my DD it will pass! But it's so hard to see that when you're in the middle of it isn't it?

@theotherendofthesockportal it's shit isn't it? There I was congratulating myself for getting through the first 3 weeks...when it turns out they haven't even 'started' yet! Mind you, I was getting pretty bad preg insomnia so I'm trying to think of it like that - pretty sure if I'd made it to 40 weeks I'd barely be sleeping anyway Grin

Much CakeBrew for you today. Sorry your night was so bad.

I wish I could nap during the day but my ability to do so has deserted me! I was so good at it during pregnancy. I know that it's because I'm just anxious and tuned into the baby's needs, also I can't drop off because I'm expecting DH to appear, sheepishly holding a crying baby who he thinks needs feeding...

@hashtagtired good work on the headphones! Thinking to get some myself....

HashtagTired · 24/11/2017 07:24

The HashtagTired household are off on holiday! Will no doubt be here tonight, assuming I have signal!
