Hope everyone finds the new thread 😂 and new chatterboxes are welcome to join us and battle through the night feeds together (with or without the assistance of EBLL [Ewan's back left leg!) 🐏

Hi everyone waves shyly been lurking for a while like a proper creep, thought I’d better say hi eventually. So hi! Currently up with Dd (pfb) who is nearly 11 weeks. Trying to put her down after her feed but she squirms, yawns & stretches JUST as I’m contemplating putting her down - been sat here for half an hour now 🙄 and am so hungry. And tired. So tired.

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 04:38

Hi @anotherexhaustedpigeon and welcome to the group. It’s all very exhausting, I agree!
I’ve just put ds down and he’s sounding less snotty and quite content. Continuing with EBLL as that seems to help.

Going to try and get some shut eye before morning officially starts...

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 04:40

@Jellybabie3 that’s when I’m grateful my ds only does one a week! Although I’m still a little traumatised after the last ‘epic’ poo. That was Sunday so he could blow any day from now, but more likely at the weekend. 💨 💩

Jellybean2017 · 23/11/2017 05:16

Still awake from feed number 2. I think he is sleep feeding 🙈 his latch is crap in the night.

Welcome @anotherexhaustedpigeon 😊 hope you're getting some sleep now.

Epic nappy change by sounds of it jellybabie3! My DS tends to do a megs poo every other day or so... Due today then! 💩

Thanks @HashtagTired! @Jellybabie3 that’s hilarious, but at the same time I feel for you!! I literally dread a nighttime nappy change! Having felt all proud of myself for getting DD back to sleep at 4.30, she woke up screaming just now - id left a Hakka pump next to her & it had fallen over and she’s soaked, as is the cot 😩 probably going to be up for the day now, ffs.

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 23/11/2017 05:21

I meant thanks @Jellybean2017 😭

ethelfleda · 23/11/2017 05:31

Feed #3 now. Is this classed as a night feed or an early morning feed??
My flow seems to be too much for ds2as the milk regularly goes down the wrong hole and he starts coughing and stops feeding! He is wriggling around on my chest now trying to feed bless him!
Hope the rest of you are doing ok!!

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 06:37

...😴 I don’t think I’ve slept.... 💤

Jellybabie3 · 23/11/2017 07:11

Oh no @HashtagTired. So sorry to hear that. Nothing worse than a zombie day.

Welcome to the chaos @anotherexhaustedpigeon. Its a sad day when people join really as it means another person has been desperately trawling the internet in the middle of the night. But no worries - you have found your people! brace yourself for lots of chat about ewan the sheep

And on that matter, as I have tried to put DS down I have hit the dreaded EFRL. The flipping harp. DS has l smiled in his sleep like hes saying 'what a twat'. He now has hiccups 🙈

I'm going back to amazon shopping while I wait.....

mn members should get a discount. Just saying.

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 07:32

@Jellybabie3 thanks. We go on holiday very first thing tomorrow so today is a packing day. Hopefully I have the energy to get through it! Oh, and dd swimming lesson.
A day mostly at home at least.

But I’m up now. School run to do.

And yes, amazon, MN should get discount. I’ve done almost all my Christmas shopping online at nighttime. And my judgement is slightly impaired at nighttime because I spend so much more!

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 07:34

I’m surprise if Ewan has any batteries left after last night. I am starting to worship him.

Lallypopstick · 23/11/2017 07:35

@Jellybabie3 who the hell decided the harp was a good thing to include?!

Hashtag sounds like a rough night for you. Do you have an easy day today?

Lallypopstick · 23/11/2017 07:36

Sorry Hashtag just saw that you’ve got a day of packing. You can fall asleep on the piles of clothes!

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 08:14

I can’t even be annoyed at anyone today and blame them (dh) for my tiredness. Ds is all snotty and he was a real trooper last night. He woke a few tunes choking and snorting everywhere but he just went back sleep straight away. He never cried or complained, bless him.

AMagdalena · 23/11/2017 08:20

Checking in after 2 or 3 feeds....? Can't even remember ;)

What other noises does Ewan make apart from the harp and womb noises? Not that any kind of noise works on DD Hmm

DD allowed me to put her down last night for 30 mins after which she woke up from what sounded like a bad dream. Do they get bad dreams?
Up evety 3 hours after that. I really needed some sleep. Feel more human now.

Don't really have any plans today...Might got for a little walk. DH is off at the weekend, so we'll go Christmas shopping then.
I feel like I am not doing enough with DD, but I don't drive and there aren't a lot of things to do round here or within a reasonable distance. I'd like to take her swimming, but I am allergic to chlorine, so that will be a daddy activity. Music classes are so far away and I can't seem to find any nearby! We go shopping, for walks, sometimes meet up with my friends or visit my PILs. Not very exciting hmmm

AccrualIntentions · 23/11/2017 08:47

Dammit, I thought things had improved on Tuesday night when we switched to EBM and formula from bottle but now wind seems to be an issue....I just cannot wind DD properly which means she won't settle back in the crib to sleep after feeds and will only be quiet when she's cuddled up on me on her front Sad

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 08:51

@AMagdalena seriously all your dd needs is you (and dh). Don’t worry about classes for her, it’s more what you want to do at this stage. She isn’t missing out on anything so don’t worry.

Lovingtyrells · 23/11/2017 09:08

Don’t think I slept last night :( ordered lots of goodies online :o really not good when on reduced pay

Jellybean2017 · 23/11/2017 09:16

Last night was a mixed bag! Ate a packet of jaffa cakes at 3am 😳 But have just had two lovely hours in bed on my own while DH bathed baby and got him to have another nap. (baths are a morning event here as DS hates being dried afterwards, too stressful at bed time!)

I have just heard the poo arrive in his nappy 🙈 better give it five minutes to make sure he has finished 😂😂😂

AMagdalena we don't do much either. Just one group a week and other than that it's walks or seeing my friends or parents. As Hashtag says I don't think you need to worry at the moment 😊

Hope everyone has a good day with lots of naps where needed 😂

Jellybabie3 · 23/11/2017 09:31

Hmm so tomorrow I am driving to a mum and Baby group. So how do I get him up and fed on time? He usually wakes from his last sleep about 8.15-8.45am and I need to get him out of here ay 9.15am. I allow 45min feeds....

Experienced mummies - how do you do it???

HashtagTired · 23/11/2017 10:20

Well I have to wake ds. Not intentionally but before I leave the house I nappy change and feed then put him in the car seat. He goes back to sleep in the car seat when we are on the move.
Or if I’m walking for the school run, then I do the same but then put him in the baby carrier.
He will either fall asleep or content in the car seat/carrier.

Jellybean2017 · 23/11/2017 10:57

To be honest I try to only go to a group that vaguely fits around when I think he may be napping... But it is hard to do that and I do wonder if I should be less rigid. Trouble is its such a massive problem to get him to even go to sleep as he hates the pram and car... So I'm loathe to ever wake him! It does mean I sometimes miss out on doing stuff though which isn't so good for me. Hmm.

OP posts:
AMagdalena · 23/11/2017 11:00

Jellybean Similar issue here, although DD falls asleep in the pram after half an hr or so! And only for 20minutes. Most groups start at 9am and that is DD's only predictable nap!

AMagdalena · 23/11/2017 12:03

So...DD decimated her outfit as we were setting off. On 2nd attempt it chucked it down Hmm

ethelfleda · 23/11/2017 12:40

We have been getting ready to leave the house for about 2 and a half hours now. Still not quite ready!!
