Booked euro tunnel this weekend for March 2016, apartment booked and hotels either side booked, so excited already, any one else want to join in :)

Fantastic day skiing today
Was up on the lift @9am, and finally skied back down @ 4... with only a brief stop for lunch.
Minimal queues.
Snow is okay, not as good as Feb but I've seen worse at this time of year. Does make me realise how much effort goes into snow management on the slopes, because the 'normal' mountainsides all around are green and brown - never seen it quite like that in many years of skiing.
Weather is glorious - looking across the valley to lovely golden melty snow on the high peaks at the end of the day is sublime...

I just cannot wait to feel the snow under my skiis again! On the upside I've finished my packing, only got to sort hand luggage on Friday, then off we go to the airport.

Going up at tea-time, staying the night coz our flight's one of the first out on Saturday morning.

lovetoski where do you stay in Les arc? I've been across there when we've skied in La Plagne and loved the resort, some really lovely cruisey reds was my impression. I'm a bit obsessed with going high at Easter so we've been to Tignes and heading to Cervinia this year, but I like going to new places if it's snow sure. How does the snow hold up in the afternoons?... ... We're going at Xmas this year so really I'm thinking about 2018 .

Has been a gorgeous week - one cloudy afternoon, no queues at all. Have never ever before just skied up to the turnstile time after time. Slopes could do with more snow lower down ( below 1600) but holding up v well higher up. Children liking it ( first trip) and fun for us skiing where they've been with ski school. Lot more trees and bumps than I'd usually do! Already talk of next year....

dont, stayed in Arc 2000, self catering on slopes, really nice apartment, just about to book 2017 !!

Me and our school are off tomorrow morning - v early start for a 7am flight. We should be on the slopes by 1pm!
Just trying to pack now, got s feeling I've forgotten something important but as ds2 (7) has reminded me - there are shops out there!
It looks like it's warming up a bit out there. If it could just hang on a few days more we'd be grateful!

The weather isn't looking glorious, but if it snows and the conditions are better, I won't care. It won't be minus 20 (I hope) so we should be fine.

Glencoe today. Shame my skiing was atrocious!!

Back home now after a last minute sneaky trip to Les Carroz.

The snow was good - slushy by the afternoon but the pistes were kept in remarkable good condition.

We wore tshirts and fleeces under our jackets and took the fleeces off after the first couple of hours, it was quite a novelty not having to layer up and tuck everything in tight!

Nearly the end of the season, we have to have something to get us through until next season, anyone got any suggestions !! :)

I have so enjoyed reading about everybody getting excited about their ski trips and then the post trip updates! Please can I now get excited on here about going on Sunday?
I am soooo excited! it's the first time for the DCs and first proper trip since 2010. I haven't' been spring skiing since I was a teenager on a school trip ( fond memories of a late eighties electric blue and fuschia C&A ski suit!) but am looking forward to some long sunny lunches and not having to use my boot heaters!
