Well thats a bit weird. MN broken on IOS and android?

I can't use mn desktop site on my ipad or the mobile site on my android phone. Both lock up. On IOS the threads don't load. On the android phone I cant click on any threads or scroll up.

But its fine on my laptop.

It’s working fine on my iPad .

My iPad is awful using safari but better using chrome. Safari crashes repeatedly and it is impossible to use.
I checked for updates because when it gets like that there is usually something to install but O’m up to date.

It’s been doing this for me (on iPad) all day. Turns out it was because I’d selected only essential cookies. Clear your cookies, log back in and accept all cookies.

I’m on my iPhone and on the chrome browser no threads are loading, I can get to the active threads page although it only half loads before refreshing and every time I try to click on a link I get an error page.

It’s better on safari and I can open and read threads but it won’t keep me logged in for more than a few minutes, if I change threads or open a new tab it seems to log me out

Thank you for some sleuthing! I don't want to be forced to accept all cookies.

How am I so unlucky that it is on both of my mobile devices? Its one way to curtail me being on here though.

I'm on a Mac and every thread I open I get a message asking if I want to allow MN to download up to 1.2GB of data onto my Mac? Never happened before and is weird.

Actual message is:

Do you want to allow “www.mumsnet.com” to use up to 1.2 GB of storage on your Mac?

So use, not download, but still odd.

I feel exactly the same! On every site I visit, I go to the trouble of clicking ‘manage cookies’ and only selecting essential (and sometimes functional) - I am not happy at all with being forced to accept personalised advertising. It should be a choice; the site should still work without them.

Oh well. Les and less functionality and always wanting to flog us things or use our data? Time to find somewhere else to hang out?

Reopen and go through and manually uncheck all the ‘interest’ boxes in the cookies pop up.
It’s something to do with those cookies that is broken.

I rejected all and it works fine now.

Chrome and phone not working. Won't load threads can't click on anything.
Firefoxand phone glitchy posting from fire fox.

Enabled cookies on fire fox still glitchy. Think i may have turned off cookies on Chrome.

It is still really shit on Firefox

Thanks, I'll try this. I'm on a work PC atm which is working fine but my iPad and phone aren't working. I always say no to cookies and it's been fine until last night.

I can't use it on my android chrome browser. I can use it on the Samsung browser....hence being able to wrote this....but I always use Chrome usually.

I have just cleared browsing history and cache...this might have worked. Goodness knows what else it might have cleared....

MN on Android has been unusable for me since last night. I actually thought it was MN itself, and only thought to check here when I discovered it was fine on my laptop. I haven't been asked about cookies in the last few days; in fact I'd say that very rarely happens on here anyway.

I hadn’t been asked either, A change has probably been made to the existing cookies that’s broken it for those who rejected none essential cookies previously.

Yes, I’ve followed the advice above about deleting MN cookies, closed the tab, opened a new one, rejected all cookies including legitimate interest and signed back in. Working fine now.

I tried a couple of times with incognito tabs, and yes, it seems to be the cookies. Unfortunately, it still remembers me on Chrome and won't let me attempt anything with the page once I've opened it, even though I've apparently logged out. Entirely unintentionally, I should add.

Won't load for me on laptop/firefox, v slow on android phone but fine on laptop/edge
