Advert blacking out whole screen

I get this in every second thread I open this morning. It’s hiding all the posts on a page.

Using safari on iPad.

I've been getting this too but just keep scrolling and it should disappear. It does for me anyway.

Same here. Holidaygems.co.uk advert.

Same here. If the thread is short it doesn't scroll away properly and hides the screen. I've had to come back to this thread several times to be able to post on it because the advert hid the message box.
Even on a long thread it does scroll away but you miss several posts. Very annoying Holiday Gems advert.

Well I just logged in on my phone to complain about this ad.
Was trying to use MN on my desktop (searching is easier)
The holiday gems as is so big I can only see 1 line of text from Mumsnet and no way of closing the ad.

Is the way MN are going to force us all to pay? Make it totally impossible to use otherwise?

The small line at the top of this pic is all I can see of the thread.

And when I scroll down, the tiny text at the top scrolls past, but the ad stays put. Using Edge on windows computer.

Having no problems i the app.

I've just had this... which demanded I switch from landscape to portrait mode on my tablet, as it just gave me an empty black box in landscape. I was, ironically, on this thread when it popped up.

I've just had this happen again 8.10am, Saturday 25th.

Navigated away and returned to the same thread and it didn't happen again. HTH

I have just got it on this thread!!! Came on to report it is happening on other threads - AIBU - Prince Harry one.

I am on a laptop using Google Chrome.

And now I got an auto play loud one for premier in as I scrolled a thread and it didn’t stop when I scrolled past.

I don’t use an ad blocker because I know you get revenue but it’s at the point where I’m going to.

It’s making the site unusable!,

So annoying!

I will boycott every company that has an advert blocking my screen, it’s infuriating
