Problem with read threads not changing colour...

Ok MN, so now you've fixed the problem with bookmarking . For some time now, when I've read a thread, it temporarily changes colour, to show I've read it, then will change back to 'unread colour' at some point and then I'm reading a thread again that I'm not interested in because the title wasn't memorable enough for me to remember. First world problem, I know.... I'm using Chrome on laptop.

Mine are random seemingly.

I am using the desk top on an iPad. Safari version 11.4.1.

The problem is not just with the app

I'm unclear why @mnhq are able to reply to other threads but not this one.

I agree, I understand that some problems are harder to fix than others, but the lack of updates is really piss poor considering how long it's been going on!

We're not ignoring you - but as far as we know tech still haven't managed to replicate the problem, which obviously makes it pretty hard to fix. We've flagged it again with them though so we'll update you when we have more information.

Now it's doing it randomly with threads (both that I've started or that I'm on), some but not others. I'm an iPhone app user. I really don't get it as this problem seemed to disappear for me for several months and now it's back again! 🙈🙁

I too am having issues with threads I've read immediately turning white when there's no new replies.

We've rebuilt the way the app show there are new posts on a thread, and so far it's looking good. Try out the update on the App Store, and let us know how it goes.

@TimMumsnet, when I go to the App Store it says I've got the most up to date version (that was available 3 days ago) when I know I haven't as I haven't updated... and it's still doing the threads not showing up as read?!

I've deleted and redownloaded the app and think it's fixed, but now I have annoying adverts on threads 😬🙈😬🙈

@mummabubs that's strange! Have you checked the version number in the menu? It should say 3.11.4
