Problem with read threads not changing colour...

Ok MN, so now you've fixed the problem with bookmarking Grin. For some time now, when I've read a thread, it temporarily changes colour, to show I've read it, then will change back to 'unread colour' at some point and then I'm reading a thread again that I'm not interested in because the title wasn't memorable enough for me to remember. First world problem, I know.... I'm using Chrome on laptop.

@TimMumsnet . On safari NOT app (iOS 10.3.3) it's showing threads I have already viewed, as blue not purple and they have had further comments since I viewed them

LIZS · 16/05/2018 15:15

Read threads highlighting on app today.

fuzzyfozzy · 21/05/2018 11:01

Strangely now it's just odd threads popping up as white, usually it's the whole list.
These threads have nothing new on them since I last looked.
iPhone, app

Panda81 · 21/05/2018 11:46

fuzzy I'm having this too! Always the same threads. But less annoying than all of them.
iOS mobile app too

Figmentofimagination · 23/05/2018 22:56

Fuzzy & Panda - this has started happening to me in the last couple of days as well. At first it was on a zombie thread so I unwatched it, but now more and more threads are showing as unread.

TinyPawz · 23/05/2018 23:14

There are no new messages on the thread but the colour keeps switching back to white. I am the last person to post on the thread if that makes any difference. iPhone 7 & app

Some threads still turning white still. I check and refresh the app and they are white again straight away.

NinaMarieP · 30/05/2018 18:22

The main problem has been fixed for me but I have two threads on my "I'm on" list that keep showing as white when there are no new posts.

FairfaxAikman · 01/06/2018 07:36

Started happening to me a few days ago - very annoying

blaaake · 01/06/2018 22:17

It's happening again!!!! But only with certain threads

RandomMess · 01/06/2018 22:28

Mine does this now, never has before Sad

Panda81 · 02/06/2018 12:12

I can't decide if it's more annoying or not...

Panda81 · 06/06/2018 10:14

@FlissMumsnet and @TimMumsnet
Have you seen our latest updates? There is still an ongoing issue

fuzzyfozzy · 06/06/2018 11:58

Still happening, now to most threads on my watch list. But not all.
iPhone app

TimMumsnet · 06/06/2018 17:39

Hi guys, thanks for raising this! I'll look into why this is happening shortly.

TimMumsnet · 07/06/2018 12:23

We've discovered the cause of this, and we're investigating a more thorough solution.

Short term fix
If you delete and reinstall the app, the unread indicator will be correct again. It's after you've opened 400-500 threads that it starts playing up.

Panda81 · 07/06/2018 16:49

Thanks @TimMumsnet

Although now I'm embarrassed that it's highlighted I must have opened 400-500 threads to get this problem 😳

GreyhoundzRool · 07/06/2018 22:29

@TimMumsnet what about those of us not using the app ?

NotPennysBoat · 12/06/2018 18:55

Any update on this @TimMumsnet? Driving me potty!!

Wallywobbles · 13/06/2018 20:54

This is happening for me. It's been going on for a week or so.

Wallywobbles · 13/06/2018 20:55

iPhone. App

Wallywobbles · 14/06/2018 20:00

I've deleted the app and Re downloaded. Still happening

Figmentofimagination · 15/06/2018 14:36

@TimMumsnet I deleted and re-downloaded the iPhone app. It worked for a short time but it has now started again.

GreyhoundzRool · 16/06/2018 23:11

And what about those of us not using the app ? I feel like I'm in some sort of parallel universe where I can't be heard 🤔

fuzzyfozzy · 19/06/2018 21:39

For the love of god please fix this
