Harsh, but ban the non thread readers please!

Lighthearted. Kind of.

I propose that mnhq start banning the non thread readers. The cancel the chequers if you will.

I don't mean people who read threads but don't take in a bit of info sometimes. We all do that. I mean the 'i haven't read the full thread but...' people who then go on to flog a completely dead horse or perpetuate the resurrection of a zombie thread where 20 posters have already said ZOMBIE THREAD.

Read the op, read the end of the thread. If you are moved enough to post then read through the rest. It's not that hard is it?

HerRoyalFattyness · 05/12/2016 22:54

Not RTFT but YANBU Grin

JustAnotherPoster00 · 05/12/2016 22:55

LTB

WellErrr · 05/12/2016 22:55

Not got time to rtft, can someone give me the gist of what's happened so far? Cheers.

DonkeyOaty · 05/12/2016 22:56

Biners that really made me laugh Grin

But yeah, not rtft leaves one open to looking a twat. Of course folk can be insouciant about looking a twat and that's fine.

Pidlan · 05/12/2016 22:56

CANCEL THE CHEQUE

MargoChanning · 05/12/2016 22:57

Placemarking to resurrect the thread in 2019.

Grin
HerculesMulligan · 05/12/2016 22:58

Could there be a way of presenting someone new to the thread with a way of quickly reading only the Op's posts if they wished? That might help.

WellErrr · 05/12/2016 23:01

Hercules are you joking? Grin

longdiling · 05/12/2016 23:02

I don't think they'd bother reading it if there was Hercules.

The rest of you are bastards and when I take over mumsnet I'm banning you all.

The highlight of my many years wasted on mnet was when a poster commented on my thread, with quite a lengthy berating of me who HADN'T EVEN READ MY OP. We were agog I tell you. And then sniggery and agog.

DonkeyOaty · 05/12/2016 23:06
HerRoyalFattyness · 05/12/2016 23:07

Ooh, bastard badges. I'll have one of those thanks Grin

WellErrr · 05/12/2016 23:10

Bastard badgers Angry

Harsh, but ban the non thread readers please!
00100001 · 05/12/2016 23:12
Xmas Grin
Honeydragon · 05/12/2016 23:12

I like badgers. Badgers would make excellent Mnettrs.

HerRoyalFattyness · 05/12/2016 23:14

Badgers are murderous little fuckers. Especially if you have their mashed potatoes.

WouldHave · 05/12/2016 23:17

It's quite fun when one of the aggressive types jumps into the attack having failed to read the thread and ends up with egg all over their faces.

Honeydragon · 05/12/2016 23:17

Yeah but Bodger was a bit of a prick to him.

HerRoyalFattyness · 05/12/2016 23:18

Who's got egg on their face now eh?

HerRoyalFattyness · 05/12/2016 23:18

honey even as a child I knew something wasn't right with bodger. I've now come to the conclusion bodger was buggering badger.

longdiling · 06/12/2016 07:21

I can't believe this serious issue has been sidetracked by talk of badgers. I call for a further ban on mention of irrelevant animals like badgers.

OP posts:
HerRoyalFattyness · 06/12/2016 07:24

The badgers won't like that. They'll start plotting their revenge. They will take over the world! The armadillos will help. The armadillos have been drinking Tetley tea, that stuff gives them superpowers. A bit like red bull gives you wings. (I actually wrote a short story about this kind of crap for English GCSE. It's amazing I passed)

GoodyGoodyGumdrops · 06/12/2016 07:27

Who is Bodger?

I don't normally criticise grammar, but if you want people to read your posts, HerRoyalFattyness, you really must remember to capitalise your proper nouns.

And use paragraphs FGS!

longdiling · 06/12/2016 07:29

Don't start with the armadillos.

What you say about Badgers concerns me though. They could certainly take over mumsnet if we let them in, they would probably do a better job of reading threads than humans
