Browsing mumsnet using the chrome browser on an android phone.

Opened a thread "www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2729635-Im-being-watched-WATCHED" on an "open in new tab" but the new tab opened with a spam advert page of the kind that tries to make you not navigate away. I presume this is an unintended hijack of some kind.

I copied the content of the navigation field in case it is of use to you but it seems to be gibberish.

Angie, can't you block all the ads until this is sorted? It's being happening intermittently for months now.

I was just scrolling down a thread I was reading and it happened. Android here as well

The ads are bacj on my phone too. When is this going to be sorted? I got it after opening the newsletter with the neighbour/washing on the line thread.

No it's not your phone. There are a lot of reports from Samsung 6 and other Samsung. That will be because, despite Apple being so famous Android has 80% of smart phone market and Samsung is the biggest player.

I also got the BT ones on my spare Motorola phone.

I agree that it's time to stop all ads until it's sorted, it's really difficult to navigate away from and makes the site almost impossible to use once they pop up!

I've just had one. This is starting to really annoy me. If you actually got on and created an app (you know, like we used to have?) maybe we wouldn't keep having these problems?

Oh and I resent the repeated implication that it's our fault. Sort it out please mumsnet. I'm not feeling particularly valued as a user.

Happened to me earlier. I'mean in Greater Manchester using Android Chrome on a Samsung S7. Had to close the page as couldn't navigate away from it. Very annoying.
