Browsing mumsnet using the chrome browser on an android phone.

Opened a thread "www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2729635-Im-being-watched-WATCHED" on an "open in new tab" but the new tab opened with a spam advert page of the kind that tries to make you not navigate away. I presume this is an unintended hijack of some kind.

I copied the content of the navigation field in case it is of use to you but it seems to be gibberish.

This happened in the morning last weekend too. Using Chrome on Nexus 6P on Marshmallow (6.0.1). Can't remember the post I clicked on but it was happening on multiple posts last week.

I know you're working on this as hard as you can but I've never experienced this on a reputable site before. You really need to do something about this

Have had this on and off all week, happened twice just this morning.

In Greater London, using Chrome on a Moto G. No new anything installed recently.

Have run AVG and cleared my history twice just now. It really is incredibly annoying - as other posters have said, I've only ever encountered this on MN and it makes the place look dodgy AF.

Same here - it cleared up for a few days, but is back this morning. Samsung A, Chrome, Suffolk. Also a redirection, not a pop up.

It happened to me about 9.30am today. I was on a thread (AIBU, I think)and clicked to turn the page and was automatically transfered to this ad. Verrucas difficult to get away from unless you click on the navigate away "button" that comes up when you try to leave.

You need to get this sorted. And don't just blame Android/Chrome. 80% of the smart phone market is Android. No other site gets attacked the way MN does.
