Browsing mumsnet using the chrome browser on an android phone.

Opened a thread "www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2729635-Im-being-watched-WATCHED" on an "open in new tab" but the new tab opened with a spam advert page of the kind that tries to make you not navigate away. I presume this is an unintended hijack of some kind.

I copied the content of the navigation field in case it is of use to you but it seems to be gibberish.

I've had the same as WhereDo three times this morning, both logged in and when not logged in. If I get it again, I'll screenshot, but I did notice Amazon in the URL.

PS Android, Samsung S7 both Chrome and inbuilt Samsung browser

I've been getting this purportedly from /about virgin media.

I get these too. Always on a Saturday morning. Using Samsung J3 and Chrome.

DH also got exactly the same BT pop up on his android phone this morning but from a local newspaper site.

Saw this thread again, thought I should add my update. Took me a while to get back here as I had to log in to post, which returns you to the frigging homepage. A small grumble but with ME, it's a bit of a drain of energy.

It's back again . Android Chrome. I was on the baby names thread about stealing friends name. Have had to shut browser and start again.
