Livid - porn on my phone! please help

I'm not the most tech savvy person, can anyone help please?

Last night I was posting on Mumsnet and an advert for a sex chat site appeared out of nowhere which had a close up video of a woman using a vibrator on herself that completely filled the screen .

How did I inadvertently do this? It was on the Louise Mensch thread, I followed a link to the tweet and read it, then went back to post my message. I think when I hit post is when the porn appeared but I can't be entirely sure. I couldn't work out how to get it to stop either for a minute, or how to close the page.

I don't want porn on my phone ffs! What can I do?

as it seems to be an android occurrence, will something from the Apple Store be any use Daniel?

Unfortunately there are no simple apps like the iOS app on android for this that we know of, we will keep you informed if we find something

I've just had a redirect from a thread to a supermarket vouchers page exactly like the one Obliviated posted.

I'm using chrome on an android phone. I haven't had an issue before this, and it's only happening on Mumsnet, not the other sites I've used today.
I do have Pokemon go (as do probably half of Mumsnet!) But I have no dodgy apps downloaded, and no problems elsewhere.

Dawn Thank you. Yes, I've learnt my lesson. Thing is... lots of other people had clicked on the link and were commenting on it so I didn't think it was a problem. I shan't be doing that again, particularly anything like a link to a home video.

DH and I are pretty techy, we threw everything at the virusy bastard but no luck. Had to get an expert to uninstall stuff and reinstall and run something to see virus off, luckily it wasn't quite as bad as having to go back to factory resets and virus guy felt sorry for me and only charged £75. It's now back to normal thank God (but that was £75 I did not want to spend!)

It wouldn't close so I powered down the phone, rebooted then I was able to close the page

no advert was clicked, it just opened mid-read

have done virus scanning - nothing

I know this doesn't help at all diagnostically. But here's another annoying screenshot. Looks like the Tesco scam the flavour today, which is at least less unpleasant than "broken teens".

This has been happening to me today and yesterday, too (and weirdly it has my email address in a contact form type thing at the bottom?) - anyone else had this?

Tesco vouchee winner here too while browsing active threads page. I had some winning one yesterday afternoon.

• Android phone, Chrome browser
• Not happening on ANY OTHER website (and I've been on a fair few today)
• AVG anti virus already installed, ran an extra scan and flagged nothing.
• I do NOT have Pokemon Go
• I haven't installed any new apps for a while (can't spot any unknown ones when I check either).

Yes, I've also had mumsnet pages loading looking as per ADY2MI post at 18:26. Reload worked so just dismissed it but could well be linked

I had an errant page on my laptop...July 15th

it was a blank page, loaded up separately to the others, I presumed AVG had caught something, as I am a careless clicker and the cat had been helping me traipsing over my lap and keyboard

and MN has been behaving oddly today! I keep getting GIANT Mumsnet pages up!

I reported it yesterday, on Samsung phone Chrome browser. I downloaded AVG today and ran virus scan, no issues.

Just happened again, 7.36pm. Not impressed.
