There are ways of fending off DDOS attacks, but they cost, so I guess Mumsnet will have to do a bit of a cost benefit analysis...

Finally! I actually had a mini clear out because it's bin day tomorrow. Fucking bin day! Now I know why all the elderly neighbours are so obsessed with Bin Day- they don't go on Mumsnet. Fuck you Bin Day.

I cleared my cache and cookies which seems to have remedied the refreshing issue for me. It might be coincidental , but worth a go!

It probably isn't even jeff any more. It's probably an overexcited robot in Swaziland that he's wound up and pointed at our server and having messed with the big boys, he now cannot get them to stop. Even if he wants to.

It was just a DOS attack apparently according to Justine.
Annoying but pretty harmless where data is concerned, it basically just overloads the servers with massive amounts of traffic.

I also visited the wise place, it was nice. My posts came up in dark blue, which made me feel like a member of MNHQ and I even posted on other threads . It was like a relaxing holiday.
