I think you've posted in the wrong place there mama...this thread is about the hacking and you are much more likely to get the attention of soneone who knows about this by posting your own thread.

Jux · 23/08/2015 19:33

Thanks Jessica, Iona. Sorry to have added to the load. [more buckets of gin]

IFancyRichard · 23/08/2015 19:41

More gin needed I think

KitKat1985 · 23/08/2015 19:46

Looking like everything seems to be going quiet now on the Jeffery front. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end, so to speak. Smile

poorbuthappy · 23/08/2015 19:51

Ummmm has the website just gone awful weird? Or is it just me?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 23/08/2015 19:54

It went down for a minute or two but seems ok here now.

poorbuthappy · 23/08/2015 19:55

It won't load properly, I have no usernames unless I hover over them and all the menus at the top have disappeared! I am getting into this thread via discussions of the day...

PlayingSolitaire · 23/08/2015 19:56

I have fixed my Issue about not being able to log in through Safari! I had done something my end which was stopping me logging in. All sorted now! I can bore everyone once again! Smile

poorbuthappy · 23/08/2015 20:20

Phew back to normal, getting bored with Buzzfeed!

PleaseLetThisNameChangeWork · 23/08/2015 21:16

Just to flag, I'm on the list and have just had a Paypal phishing email. It's probably coincidence and I would have got it anyway. It had an attachment which it instructed me to open, which I obviously haven't! Paypal will check any possibly dodgy emails apparently if you send them to [email protected]

poorbuthappy · 23/08/2015 21:17

Testing if I can post as having problems on another thread.

twirlypoo · 23/08/2015 21:18

Is anyone else having trouble logging in? It seems mega slow, is it just me?

Jux · 23/08/2015 21:46

it's probably that Tech & Co are doing lots of magic and it's slowing things down

Simurgh · 23/08/2015 21:54

The site does seem to be having some 'moments' today - but who knows? Maybe there's some DOSing going on and maybe Tech are tinkering tiredly. As long as it's fairly secure, I think many people can live with some occasional slowness right now. (Still worth flagging up so that they can judge the impact on users though.)

Smile
Trenzalor · 23/08/2015 23:37

Has anyone else had phishing emails from Skype and Apple in the last day?

CockwombleJeff · 23/08/2015 23:48

Me - getting them a lot - and it's telling me my new Apple password is wrong even though it isn't Sad

Simurgh · 23/08/2015 23:51

I've been OK but these mails are pretty well always on the go. You can always check on the millersmiles site to see if you recognize any they have there, though. You can go direct to the site but here's a link if you wish to use a link to an outside organisation. (Anything you look up on the millersmiles site will have been made safe before publication by the way so you can look with impunity.)

ThePigeonBroadband · 24/08/2015 00:44

Am I too late to get on the cake list?

Simurgh · 24/08/2015 01:02

I think you're OK for the cake list but it sounds as if the gin list is already full to bursting. (And that's just the MNHQ staff!) Smile

twirlypoo · 24/08/2015 06:56

I was on my own personal gin list last night and now I feel like my head is made of sponge cake Confused

Camembertie · 24/08/2015 07:41

Was on list and have had two separate attempts to log into my Facebook, have spent the past 48 hours on holiday changing all passwords etc, problem is it takes so long to go through additional verification I cba to do what I intended and just give up

Pipbin · 24/08/2015 07:55

How did you know that others had tried to log on to your Facebook?

Devilishpyjamas · 24/08/2015 08:01

Facebook tells you pipbin. I had someone try to log on from Canada (not related to this)

00100001 · 24/08/2015 08:01

You can get email alerts for attempted logins from other devices
