And welcome to the new thread!

As SarahMumsnet said at the end of the last thread, we have Tech on call for fixes this weekend, and various MNHQers will be here to talk and help wherever we can.

We'll be adding to the rolling list of bugs, glitches and dislikes (see below), so please keep the feedback coming. Do remember to list which device you're using, which operating system, and which browser, so we can identify the specific issues.

Right then, who's first?

I've just re-visited the thread where I said not all OP's posts are highlighted. They are now, so probably my mistake.

Apologies in advance I haven't read all of these threads, but I can't see my glitch/dislike in the lists above.

When I go to TIW I can only see the thread titles, rather than the last few posts. I used to just go to the TIW page and, if it was obvious there was no update or whatever, I needn't open the whole thread.

When I open a thread I'm watching or when the page refreshes when I open safari I'm taken to the top of the page, not to the correct place in the thread. I've mentioned this to MNHQ before the new mobile sote but I was told it was a browser issue - it's not, because it's not a problem with other websites.

Painfully slow loading and floating bars all over the shop.

I'm on an iPod touch running iOS 6 and safari browser.

Thing is though I find Chrome slow and laggy on my android 4.0. The in built browser works fine - I don't want to download a new one.

Nope still rubbish I am afraid. Until TIO loads as individuals pages instead of the whole damn thread I can't use MN mobile as the page times out. Can anyone tell me how to amend preferences on the new site? Perhaps its something I can change myself (I still don't have the much talked about dots though).

Also I am really annoyed HQ are expecting people to download a whole new browser, like we all have room on our phones for that! I totally understand the need for change but why make it so that it alienates people not using top spec phones? Disappointed.

I'm really struggling with the new mobile site. Sorry if these issues have already been raised:

• writing a message to post is painful (i've resorted to my laptop to write this). The box is too small, so that if you write more than a couple of lines, you can't see the start of the message and it's impossible to scroll back to it.

• buttons at the bottom of the screen are really pale with white writing and it's difficult to see what they are

• I can't see how to get back to 'Home' from writing a message

• when you pick a topic under 'talk', the formatting is awful; the bullet point is on one line and the topic title is on another, sometimes word-wrapping onto the next line.

• that advert at the top of the page is really distracting

• the first post of a thread is no longer highlighted, so it's difficult to go back and find it to double check info when replying

• the page numbers at the bottom of threads are too small to select on a touch screen. Totally pointless.

• posting was really slow over the weekend (but admit I haven't tried recently), to the point where i couldn't tell if I'd posted or not, then ended up double posting (which shouldn't be possible)

The usability is pretty poor, to the point I've stopped trying to post on my mobile now as it just takes too long and is too frustrating . Please keep up the good work fixing it.

What's being done about the moving / flashing adverts?

Our ad team are trying to work out whether they can set automatic parameters to exclude moving or flashing ads. Until then we'll have to report them one-by-one so please keep them coming. (We've told them about the The Works one now)

40something really sorry - we are having compatibility problems with Nokia Lumia/Windows phones (and with some Samsungs as well). Tech are looking into it this week and we hope to see some improvement in a few days.

That's odd crabb - anyone else having problems with Bookmarking not working?

Disclaimers: this is a difficult one - we do really need to have full disclaimers on some topics for legal reasons. We'll have a think about whether we can edit them down.

Has the lack of hide thread button in active convos been mentioned? Cos it's missing and I have to look at annoying thread titles.

Yup we hope to have a fix for this soon

All I want to know is how I can stop my phone defaulting to the mobile site? Until this change I could de one the mobile site (having uninstalled terrible iphone app which was crap) and simply use the desktop site on my iPhone 4S. I do this with virtually ALL websites as I want the full site but the convenience of accessing on my phone. I don't care that the type is bit smaller and fiddly just want the full site back please. I REALLY HATE THE NEW MOBILE SITE and think that if I have to use it I will probably just stop coming on MN. Shame as loyal user since 2006 but I am just so fed up with all the bloody changes.

It is especially irritating because there are advertisements all over if and with that and the bloody stupid buttons at bottom of screen you can only read 2 lines of a thread at a time. WTF???

IPhone 4S safari no idea what version of iOS but I never update anything (isn't that obvious? I also, shock horror wear clothes that are 10 years old....)

Adding top/bottom of page shortcut buttons - please keep the feedback coming, but you can navigate to the top of the page via the ellipses/three dots menu at the bottom right of each post, and you can go to the bottom by hitting ‘reply’

No All posts on one page button - please keep the feedback coming, but you can do this via customise under the sub-menu. (NB you must be logged in to see the sub-menu: it's under the downward-pointing chevron under the three main icons in the top right of the page)

No notification that PMs have been sent FIXED

Jumpy switch between portrait and landscape on iOS devices is on our list

My blue bar at the bottom has disappeared entirely! I had it last week (when new mobile site first came out) but gone this week. It means I can't get on my threads/watching at all. and active convos only using the back button and refresh.

Am on windows 7 and IE8

Hi overthemill - if you scroll right down to the bottom of the page, there's a link that takes you to the desktop site.

To be honest, browsers (and other tech stuff) aren't quite the same as clothes, in that things that are several years old just don't work very well.

There are thousands (literally) of potential combinations of devices, browsers and operating systems, and no Tech team - however massive or well resourced - can support every single combination. Realistically, we have to prioritise the browsers, devices and OSs that most of our users use.

It's just not realistic for us to support every single out-of-date piece of software - we can't do it. (We say the same thing to people who are using versions of Internet Explorer that are several issues out of date.) We'd need a Tech team of thousands to support every single variation - and as you can see we haven't quite cracked support issues for entirely current devices (like some Samsungs and Nokias), so that really needs to be our priority for now.

Sorry though - we do see that it's irritating. (And downloading iOS7 is a major undertaking so we do feel your pain.)

Bookmarks on iOS7 - are they working for everyone? Tech can't replicate the fault.

rowanmumsnet I love you! Have clicked through to desktop sits and am now happy again. I do understand that you need to update /sort glitches etc it's just that I lead a very complicated life and the few minutes a day I get on mumsnet and Facebook literally save my life. I don't mind if you diss my ancient clothing and laugh at my ancient TV but please just let me use MN with no hassle. (Btw, I think I'm rather swish having an iPhone but it's just that it works. Every time. Which is all I want when I'm stuck next to dd on hospital ward trying to look stuff up to terrify her doctors with)

Could you check on the mobile site? Not sure that that customise option is available on the desktop.

Go to your user icon (top right of the screen, the middle icon with a person in a circle); the option to turn on/off the shortcut buttons is at the very bottom of that menu.
