Hi all,

As you know we have launched the new mobile site, we know it's a big change and we are still very keen to get it right with your help. This is very much a version that will evolve with your help as part of the testing process.

There have been a few glitches that have/are being ironed out and the HUGE thread has nearly maxed out, so we thought it best to start a shiny new one.

We know change is tricky but, as with most things MN, we are all ears and happy to look at any feedback you have on ways we can improve the new site.

Tech are updating things as we speak, so you should gain and lose things as the new site starts to work properly.

No-one seems to be able to or want to tell us when it will be working fully functionally, so maybe try again in October ?!

Assuming that was equal numbers, then presumably that was around 40 users. Maybe some of them lurkers or light-users only.

As MN is such a big site, users navigate in many ways. Lots of people navigate by topic, lots of us use active convos, some just live in Aibu, others look at Threads I'm On. Some like to bookmark, some flip threads, some highlight own and OP's posts, some like pages, some like a continuous thread. Forty testers won't necessarily be able to highlight all the problems with those variables.

I haven't used the mobile site much yet. Had a quick go earlier on my iPhone but gave up because only half the screen was thread text and the rest was adverts and icons.

I agree with the PP who said put it to the vote (can't scroll back to see who it was).

Set up a poll and give it a week then go off whatever the result is and stand by the choice of your members.

The bars at the top and bottom flash off and on as you scroll. V annoying.

What are those coloured squares at the end of the thread?

If i don't have wi fi the site is so slow that it is not usable.

Yes go on. Put your money where your mouth is and lets have a poll on it.

Because I bet almost anything that the majority will want it back how it was.

This site would be nothing without its posters so FGS listen to them because otherwise you will have a site that may be shiny and pretty but if its not user friendly it'll be empty and devoid of posters.

Germgirl, I do know what you mean about bitching about a change and then seeing the advantages - but here they've apparently put six months of work into something that looks worse and is harder to use. So I do think scrap it and revert, yes.

Grrr, trying it again and it's just so ruddy slow! With adverts screaming at me from everywhere. Also, how do you get all posts to show rather than painfully going through each and very thread? Also, why do I have mysterious coloured circles at the bottom of the screen, hmm, think I'll click one...AAA! NO I DON'T WANT TO SHARE ON FACEBOOK!

On Samsung galaxy ace, no customise button, have to go to bottom of page to post, buttons at top don't load properly, very slow loading, it's just not usable for me.
