Hands up everyone who wants to try out the BRAND NEW MUMSNET MOBILE SITE

Hello comrades

As lots of you will know, we've been developing a brand new, souped up version of the Mumsnet mobile site for seven geological eras quite a long time now.

We can now exclusively reveal that the new mobile site is... TOTALLY AND UTTERLY ABOUT TO BE RELEASED, LIKE, ANY TIME NOW.

We've tested it on loads of MNers ( to those who have helped out) but inevitably there will be glitches that only reveal themselves once tens of thousands of you dive in and start using it - so please use this thread to let us know about those (with the usual info about browsers and devices).

And if you like it, please pass along and to ShamTech, BrunoTech, JessicaMumsnet and all the other techs and MHQers who have been working their digits off on this.

The new improved apps are coming, honest... but in the meantime, if the old apps are driving you bonkers, do please take the new mobile site for a test drive.

Agreed.... Op's posts have lost their colour, only my posts are currently highlighted.

You can still highlight the OP's posts. Seriously wish people would actually try to do something before deciding that it's not there anymore and start whining. Click the arrow at the top right of the screen and the customise menu is there.

Am I being stupid because when you go to TIO you can't see who's posted. It just has like the tittle and a number

appleby yes you can still highlight- but not in your original colours

I used to have dark green for op posts. Now I only seem to have a default option of pale grey

How do you hide a thread?

The buttons on the bottom is a big mistake , they are in the way now

I like it, much 'cleaner' look than before and the font seems easier to read on a phone. Neither the ad nor the blue bar seem obtrusive to me. Would like to be able to see at least the last post on Threads I'm On' though.

You can highlight OP and other Customise stuff by touching the arrow on the right of the title bar (Talk>Site Stuff) though it's not currently allowing me to show the Special Needs topic.

Pictures are all too small to see now. I can't find any buttons. I quite like that I don't keep accidentally hitting report post or whatever it was, but what if I actually wanted to report someone? Or go to the top without having to scroll?

And it's too white and glarey (I don't know if that's a word, but it should be).

And this reply box is too small to see more than five lines at a time.

And and and... I just don't like it!

To paraphrase Bill Bailey drop down smilies and formatting very very good; masses of white space and 2/3 screen taken up with ads and the blue bar very very bad. It's a moral dilemma.

But I like the blue bar, at least I won't be always hitting report or customise all the time. And on that note, where is customise?

The font's too big. I can only see about two posts on a thread or threads on active convos.

Bookmarking makes it leap to the top of a thread and the OP's posts are only highlighted in the initial post not throughout the thread.

Plus I had to turn down the brightness on my phone as the whiteness was too much.

I don't like it.

Those of you for whom ads are taking up more than about 5% of the page - what devices are you using?

REPORT BUTTON is in the '...' at the bottom right of each post (along with lots of other useful things)

And having just posted that the whole page reloaded and it whizzed to a post I bookmarked halfway up the page. That's not what I want to happen.

Okay thank you to the poster who pointed out how to customise! Not bloody obvious though is it.

The 'go to page' button doesn't seem to work, it just takes me back to the first page. Having the 'next' 'previous' etc buttons at the bottom is a bit of a pain too.

When I click on a thread, I have the newest posts first, which presumably is how my settings are set up. I miss not having the original post at the top, and I really miss the flip button.

On the blue menu at the bottom there is a home button (home can also be accessed by clicking on 'mums net' at the top and it has a search button which also seems to be next to 'mumsnet' at the top. Could we have 'my topics' and 'threads I started' instead?

I'm on iPhone and iPad. It's gross.
