Hands up everyone who wants to try out the BRAND NEW MUMSNET MOBILE SITE

Hello comrades

As lots of you will know, we've been developing a brand new, souped up version of the Mumsnet mobile site for seven geological eras quite a long time now.

We can now exclusively reveal that the new mobile site is... TOTALLY AND UTTERLY ABOUT TO BE RELEASED, LIKE, ANY TIME NOW.

We've tested it on loads of MNers (Flowers to those who have helped out) but inevitably there will be glitches that only reveal themselves once tens of thousands of you dive in and start using it - so please use this thread to let us know about those (with the usual info about browsers and devices).

And if you like it, please pass along Cake and Wine to ShamTech, BrunoTech, JessicaMumsnet and all the other techs and MHQers who have been working their digits off on this.

The new improved apps are coming, honest... but in the meantime, if the old apps are driving you bonkers, do please take the new mobile site for a test drive.

Hate it. My eyes hurt after reading this thread. Too bright. I've turned the contrast on my phone down but I don't want to have to keep messing around with this when I look at (less bright) sites. I will give it a go for a few days but can't say I like it at the moment.

I've had to come onto my iPad as I'm unable to post on my ancient IPhone. It's manageable on the iPad, though still strangely hard to read. The white glare on the phone is terrible, it is so slow to load, and you are barely able to look at active cons due the amount of scrolling required. As said before bookmarking takes you to the top of the page, highlighting ops doesn't seem to work at all. On my phone the ad and toolbar stay at the top and don't move down.
So it's really unusable on my phone. I'm missing my MN fix already. Sad
Please could you keep the old mobile site as option for people with old phones? I did occasionally press the report button by mistake, but at least I could post...

I just created another thread having not seen this. The new look is here. I'm on an iPhone 5. I can't go to the last page of a post easily and have to scroll down. Where is this button.

I quite like the new look and it seems to work fine apart from that pale blue bar that sits across the page and over posts so you can't read them - surely this isn't how it's meant to look! Is there anything I can do to move it? Also, when I click on the the dots on a message nothing happens, or when I click on any of the three icons at the top right corner.

This is just horrible, having been away and come back, its worse than I remembered. Sad

And its given me a banging headache.

It does look too simple, almost childlike.

Bad form all round HQ, I feel. You launch, then have problems, launch again and the majority of your users are pleading to go back to the site as it previously was.

Why has no-one been here to answer questions and explain the thinking behind the new design ?

Got to go, head really is awful. As an epileptic who can have fits triggered by horrible bright light and headaches I fear my time mobile mnetting is over. Sad

Why are there is many repeated posts as well? It used to be that it was only Chaos' phone that did this and now everyone is at it!
