Problems with "Active" reverting to an older page

Littlefish · 28/06/2014 17:08

When I load Mumsnet I always click on "Active". As expected, this brings up the most recent page. However, if I click on a thread and then click on the "back button" to go back to Active, it loads a much older page/set of threads - sometimes from at least a day ago.

This is annoying to say the least and means that I have to keep re-clicking the "Active" tab at the top to reload the most recent version.

Any ideas?

I'm on a iPad using safari.

It definitely didn't do that before. Really makes MN difficult to follow and I'm on the verge of giving up Sad

WandaFuca · 09/07/2014 19:38

As I mentioned further up, it's happening on "Last Hour" and "Last 15 minutes" as well - and it definitely didn't do it there before, either.

It's confusing and annoying.

I'm with the others. It didn't used to refresh on pressing back, only when actually refreshed or you click active atthe top.

I tend to read down, pick a thread that looks interesting, read it, click back to get to the active of 10 minutes before and click on the intriguing looking thread title below. But now it's not going back to the active I was looking at, it goes to the current one, and it makes me feel all disorientated , and there was something I wanted to read on the old list but it's gone now and I don't remember what it was called.

I think the fix hasn't fixed what was causing the issue, it's just masked it by forcing a refresh!

Oh and while on the topic... Is it possible to get a text link to active and I'm on right at the bottom of threads on the mobile site please? My phone doesn't like the "top" button and scrolling up a long thread takes ages.

Righto, then, that sounds like a job for SUPERTECH. (Actually just Tech in a cape.) We will pass on your disgruntlement asap and get back to you, sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

AmyMumsnet · 10/07/2014 10:46

Hi everyone. So sorry for the delay. A fix should be in place today so that active goes back to normal.

RustyParker · 10/07/2014 12:19

This thread has just popped up in my active conversations even though no one had posted for over a week. Is it happening again?
