Problems with "Active" reverting to an older page

When I load Mumsnet I always click on "Active". As expected, this brings up the most recent page. However, if I click on a thread and then click on the "back button" to go back to Active, it loads a much older page/set of threads - sometimes from at least a day ago.

This is annoying to say the least and means that I have to keep re-clicking the "Active" tab at the top to reload the most recent version.

Any ideas?

I'm on a iPad using safari.

Me too, using safari on phone connected to talktalk broadband.

Right, it doesn't seem like this is a BT broadband problem, then.

(Which means it might take us a wee while longer to sort it out. Rats!)

Please bear with us. And in the meantime, you'd probably be better off avoiding the back arrow button and re-clicking on Active.

It's happening to me too on safari on iPad and I'm in Germany so not using bt.

Whenever anything goes wrong I always think it's me or my computer, so I'm quite pleased to find this thread and realise that others are having the same problem.

Having the same problem - not even just in Active (just happened in Site Stuff as well). Happens if I go beyond page one of threads with more than one page.

Using the mobile site and Safari on iPhone.

Hi everyone,

Our ever-capable tech team have now fixed this, although it might take a day or so for some ISPs to catch up. In the meantime if you get sent to the wrong active page, hit refresh and it should go back to normal.

Hmm still not going back to the page I left. It is refreshing the active page, but I like to go back to where I was otherwise I miss some threads I wanted to have a look at and I repeatedly see others on the active page.

Mine was ok this morning but now doing the same thing as before - using 'back' button takes you back to page with threads dated 26 June. It's getting very annoying now as use back button automatically. iPad on Safari.

Using back now refreshes the active convos page. Grrrrr.

Mine refreshes too, whereas it used to go back to the same page. I agree, it's annoying. I'll report my message for MNHQ to see.

Belated but thought this was just me! When I go back I either get a random thread I read sometime in the previous week or a random mix up of active threads (didn't think to look at the date). How odd.

Actually come to think of it, that's what mine has been doing. I don't think I've ever had old topics, it just refreshes rather than going back to the previous page.

I've just come over to site stuff to start a thread saying that when I hit the back button to go back to Active Convos it is refreshing rather than taking me back to the page I was on - I thought I would be better to add to this thread as it seems to be since Tech fixed the earlier glitch!

It is happening on Chrome on a PC and also Safari on my iPhone.

I use "Last Hour" or "Last 15 minutes", and the same thing has been happening for the last few days. The listing refreshes, rather than re-presenting the listing I'd just looked at.

Could it be a cache issue?

Desktop/Firefox/Plusnet.

Thought it was just me! I'm using Firefox/laptop/plusnet if that helps? It's really annoying... I'm not bothering Mning at the moment as a resultSad
