Android App "unable to connect with Mumsnet"

Hello. I've had difficulty with the Android app today and can't seem to connect. Is it just me? I keep getting an error message (hopefully I've attached a screenshot). I'm running Android 4.1.2 on a Samsung, if that matters.

Not working on my Sony either. Been a while. I may have lost my MN habit completely.

And this is why, the mobile site is shite!

Maybe they're really busy working on a brand new mobile app for us...a really really really good one.

Maybe they are trying to make us so desperate that we don't mind as much when they roll out the fee paying app

Another samsung MNer locked out of the app . I think this is day 4, eager to hear from MNHQ too.

My ap isn't working either, so annoying! The app has issues but the mobile site is more annoying. Plus it logs me out of desktop when I log into mobile and vice versa so if I keep switching it is a right arse.

Hope the tech problems don't last much longer!

MN, at the risk of seeming pathetic, I'm really not looking forward to another night of BFing every 2hrs with nothing to read.

Oh blimey! We're REALLY sorry about this (particularly sorry to anyone feeding two-hourly during the night). Ginfox - if you're near MNHQ I'll pop round and perform a small cabaret for you myself.

You should be able to still access Talk through the mobile site, but we do appreciate that's no replacement. We're doing everything we can to get the wheels back on, promise!

Whoever said it feels like their left arm has been cut off, has it about right! The mobile site feels odd to use & takes an age to load up.

Ginfox even if you don't live near hq I demand that you go rent a house and pretend you do then call in that caberet. Just think of the blackmail potential!

Still cannot log into the app, but am impressed at the screen shot OP.
I have never managed to work out how to do a screen shot.

Hmm, it must be just me that finds the mobile site reasonably Ok I guess! Posting using it now, and no multiple posts or anything (touch wood!)

I mean, it wasn't as if the Android app was the best app ever... Doesn't show images, etc etc.

I'll bet this won't be fixed til after the bank holiday. IT techs need their time on a wet and windy beach just like the rest of us.
