Android App "unable to connect with Mumsnet"

Hello. I've had difficulty with the Android app today and can't seem to connect. Is it just me? I keep getting an error message (hopefully I've attached a screenshot). I'm running Android 4.1.2 on a Samsung, if that matters.

Yup - no access for nearly 24 hours now. Very surprised there's no real response - surely this is a pretty massive issue?

I can't help but think it's pretty bad form, HQ - all those stickies on the front page and you can't have one saying that the app is down?

For heavens sake will someone put 50p in the app meter.

I thought the 'essential maintenance' would have sorted this out - but apparently not......

I can't take the computer to bed with me so what am I going to read tonight. Oh god I will have to read a real book

The app has been down for me since yesterday too. I would've thought that Mumsnet would have got this sorted out by now

Hey everyone, while the app is down you can still go to www.mumsnet.com/Talk on your Android phone or tablet Internet browser. That's what I'm doing now and it works pretty well - I would recommend chrome!

I don't like the mobile site, I find posting messages really odd!

I'm using the mobile site thingy but if there is a Mumsnet app it may as well work or there's no point having it

I find the mobile site even more cumbersome than the app. Right am away to see what preteen sitcoms my dds are watching - iCarly or Sam & Kat - see what you've reduced me to MN

Me too! Fine on iPad but I prefer the android app on Samsung.

It is awful on browser. So slow

So glad I found you all - frustrating as hell, but glad it's not just me! And agree with those saying the mobile site is shite - it is, that's why I installed the App..

I've had this problem for days now... was contemplating deleting and reinstalling app but sounds like no point if its affecting everyone else too! Any news?

With Chrome I managed to post the same message 3 times on a thread by pressing 'back'. Ugh!

My iPhone app does it all the time! I've never known another app to be so crappy - especially from such a big site!

Just found this thread - was coming on here to have a moan about the Android App :o

I got thrown out of it two days ago, thought it was my phone that was playing up. I changed my password, thinking that was the problem, but no that wasn't it.

So, in complete frustration I've deleted the MN App from my phone. I shall feel lost without it, but it is completely unusable.

Still not working for me either! Please fix asap!!!!
