Couple of interesting snippets from the replies on Justine's Guardian bit:

Don't think he quite understands how MN operates....

And

It really was???

ZippiZapata · 09/08/2006 15:36

well that's an idiosyncratic perspective if ever there was one!!!!

still no update on the BBC page I suspect they are not keeping up shows how deathly premoderating would be

Hooray for Guardian readers, who seem to have got to the heart of the matter ie a disproportionate response to a tasteless joke (sorry morningpaper!), rather than different childcare styles.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 09/08/2006 15:52

google group discussing it here

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 09/08/2006 15:55

and here

says MP's even made it to fark.com (not sure what this is - just having a look)

LIZS · 09/08/2006 16:00

Nice article Justine , neatly put . But where on earth are you finding the time and energy for all this kerfuffle. Hats off to you.

Have to say LIZS am feeling a tad weary but have 1000 words to do for S Times on what Mumsnet's all about, so best press on. Could someone kind point me in the direction of Best bit of advice from Mumsnet thread - I know it's there somewhere...?

this one?? Justine - could have got the completely wrong one

fairyjay · 09/08/2006 16:23

Poor you Justine - when this is sorted, maybe we should all club together and send you away somewhere hot and sunny to recover. Or maybe just a large bottle of vino! Thanks.

sunchowder · 09/08/2006 16:38

Fantastic Job, Justine et all!!! I have been reading with great interest and would also be devastated if the site closed down--it is like a second home to me and has been invaluable. I am so pleased to see the power and dedication of spirit here.

champs · 09/08/2006 16:54

keep up the good work Justine!! what a nightmare!!

ledodgyrobespierre · 09/08/2006 17:01

Im loving the fact Mark Stephens used the term "bonkers"

KathyMCMLXXII · 09/08/2006 17:13

Justine, you are handling this brilliantly. DH and I are weeping with laughter at Morningpaper's apology.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that the comments about Nobody on the newspaper discussion boards and other websites (eg the Guardian) are way nastier than Mumsnet?

YoYoDieter · 09/08/2006 17:15

What a brilliant thread this is, well done everyone!

ledodgyrobespierre · 09/08/2006 17:21
