Separate Private Schools board please

Dear Mums Net HQ,
Please can we find somewhere else than 'Secondary School Education' for the Belgravia crowd to parade their 'St Trinians vs Eton' conversations? Its getting like the private school version of Trip Advisor.

Then the SS Education board could get back to talking about slightly more universal topics like GCSEs and bullying, that involve ALL mothers.

Er.. OP please, please! move back from the edge of the cliff, its really not worth it

Wallison · 05/02/2014 20:44

I was thinking more along the line of giving up the second car, MrsBright - that's all it takes for someone on NMW to be able to afford private school, isn't it?

Bowlersarm · 05/02/2014 20:45

OP, so are you just confirming that you haven't got a chip on your shoulder?

MrsBright · 05/02/2014 20:45

No. I'll just that worry the shit out of you all for a very long while because you won't know who is teaching your children.

[Oh my god Velma, they've let working-class people get degrees. You see what happens? They answer back!]

OP posts:
ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/02/2014 20:46

Hey I'm not a chinless wonder and sometimes DH goes on top Wink

Sometimes the man isn't the bigger earner what with equality and women having the vote and all.

HoneyDragon · 05/02/2014 20:46

You ok op?

Forago · 05/02/2014 20:48

Dear oh dear OP, this is no way to run a campaign.

Do you really think all kids in private schools have mothers that live off men? You are hideously out of date.

MrsSteptoe · 05/02/2014 20:48

I'd be a bit horrified if the OP was my children's teacher - I think she said she's a teacher on the other thread - given that she seems unaware that women have any way of affording private school other than marriage.

Bowlersarm · 05/02/2014 20:49

The country is a big place OP, with a lot of schools. I don't think I'll be worrying too much.

Why are you teaching at a private school if they are such odious places?

TrampledUnderfoot · 05/02/2014 20:51

The Eton etc threads make me laugh.

Be warned,, OP's other thread just went like a puff of smoke! I think She completely lost the plot in the end.

Yes, op has gone ballistic in very amusing style. Just hope there is nothing serious going on in his/her rl to cause it.

She did sounds like she couldn't take it anymore, o viously not the answers she was expecting.

I hope you really are okay OP and this is all just a joke, we're all for a good laugh here, but its not funny anymore if you really are not well.

TrampledUnderfoot · 05/02/2014 21:07

Why is she 'Not well'

Does hating everything about private education make you 'not well'?

Slipshodsibyl · 05/02/2014 21:09

I think it is a problem if you are, as I think she has claimed, a university lecturer, and therefore dealing with young people while holding some of them in contempt because of their background.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/02/2014 21:11

Trampled

Did you see some of the deleted posts she had on the other thread. And let's not forget the awful woman hating stereotyping of one of her posts on this one.

This is not a person who wants a rational discussion on the education system in this country.

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 05/02/2014 21:11

Evening all... we wondered if now might be a good time to remind everyone of the talk guidelines?

Agree Slipshod and then announcing we should be worried shitless because we won't know she's teaching our children..

Not the sanest series of posts.

TrampledUnderfoot · 05/02/2014 21:12

It doesn't make her not well. And frankly all the insinuations she is 'not well' are a bit off imo.

You are allowed to disapprove of private education and be perfectly sane.
