HemmingGate: To ban or not to ban, that is the question MNHQ

Some of us would like to know if a certain politico will be banned, proper.

No rush.

We know you have a lot on your plate with ... stuff.

(I probably got two quotes mixed up in subject line. Don't panic! It's me not you. Am philistine. Italy is wasted on me. Not keen on art, prefer shopping.)

Not really contributing anything here except 'I agree with you all'! Blush

confuddledDOTcom · 03/01/2014 20:44

Are there any Home Edders here? Please can you spread the word in HE communities because the levels of ignorance are shocking! Some of the most intelligent people I know are posting support for JH and it seems to be because they are HEers.

Spero · 03/01/2014 20:44

Back off Lilka, he's mine

Woah Spero Grin

Okay okay, he's yours. You win, you win!

If you get him, are there any similar bloggers of the female variety for me? Wink

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 20:51

Oh please don't send me as the tocken home edder there.

I beg of you.

I am drawing a line !

Seriously the poeple I got on well with in the HE community aren't likely to be HemmingLemmings, and the rest are not going to listen to me.

Never listened to me about anything else.

But if ai might make a suggestion go to the Home Education Heretic blog, look in comments till you find Julie, leave a message for here, if apeter starts on you... run like fuck, it will not start making more sens ethe longer you spend in there trying to work out what he means.

Or maybe try Ann, in the same place.

Sorry Lilka, I claim first dibs on all amusing bloggers regardless of orientation. This is surely my just reward for all I have SUFFERED today.

Imagine having one's name printed in the Daily Mail. Some dirt never washes off.

sadsqueaker · 03/01/2014 21:02

I've found an absolute corker of a quote in this article about an adoption agency advertising children in local papers
Telegraph article

Guess who said this?

If parents with children did something like that they would go to jail.
We are supposed to protect the identity of children by not naming them or keeping their identity secret

Go on, guess who...

MadameDefarge · 03/01/2014 21:03

sadsqueaker · 03/01/2014 21:05

More goblin, less wizard Wink

I hear your pain. Ending up in the DM is the worst of all curses :(

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 03/01/2014 21:06

I think Spartacus said that.

LakeDistrictBabe · 03/01/2014 21:07

OH NO, it's him!! The MP who-cannot-be-named!! Voltemming!! :(

PacificDogwood · 03/01/2014 21:07

No way?!

Grin
Spero · 03/01/2014 21:07

o ahahahahahah!

We are supposed to keep children's identities secret! unless I have a terribly important point I need to make on a random internet site after Brownies!

Lilka · 03/01/2014 21:13

Oh I was thinking more Orc, rather than Goblin....

Spero I was actually really annoyed when I read your name in that article

I would say "I would take your place in a heartbeat to spare you from the pain" but, um....sorry...rather you than me Wink Grin

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 03/01/2014 21:17

Unless you need to win an argument on t'internet with some randoms during/after a pub visit.

sadsqueaker · 03/01/2014 21:23

Well that Telegraph article is only a month old, I wonder why no journo bothered to point out Hemming's double standard?

I suppose "Lib-Dem MP is Massive Fucking Hypocrite" is hardly news these days.

Spero · 03/01/2014 21:25

Because no journalist, sadly, is interested in anything he says. They have only picked up on this because of the o so amusing hook of male politician getting pissed on website full of women.

I guess you are right.

confuddledDOTcom · 03/01/2014 21:38

Carpe, you could always add me and come join MrsD in the fight on my timeline!

MadameDefarge · 03/01/2014 21:38

and a slow week. that's serendipity. A helping hand from the gods, as it were.

but thats ok too.

Spero · 03/01/2014 21:39

Which is why I really hope that enough people complain to enough people in power to get him investigated/deselected whatever.

then MAYBE some lazy arsed journo might be bothered to dig a little deeper into what he is saying
