Are your thoughts turning to 2012 yet? What sort of New Year resolutions will you be making? To be healthier, glammier, thriftier, greener, nicer, wiser? None of the above?

Thank you in advance for any posts. Xmas Smile

DingDongFruitShootsMakeYouHigh · 21/12/2011 12:56

My New Years resolution is to win a 6 berth caravan via a Mumsnet trial

EsmeWeatherwax · 21/12/2011 13:06

My resolution is to have a baby by January 24th. Since I am booked in for an elcs on 23rd, I feel I have a high chance of actually acheiving it this time.

BerryLellow · 21/12/2011 14:16

I want to learn how to make bread and become more fluent at french.

DoodleAlley · 21/12/2011 14:22

I'm going to stop looking up any health symptoms I may have on websites. Turns me into a flippin hypochondriac!

Ambi · 21/12/2011 14:23

Oh the blardy usual, quit smoking, drink less, lose 3 stone.

You know, the same as last year.

MellowMeadow · 21/12/2011 14:54

To actually achieve last year's one!

I feel this may be recurring....

kandinskysgirl · 21/12/2011 15:49

Mine is to lose more weight...I did say this last year and have managed to lose a stone and a half this year so although I want to lose more I feel that I am getting closer and closer to my goal.

In a similar vein I am going to resolve to stop putting off things till I lose weight, stop putting off buying nice clothes, having hair/nails done and going out as actually I have realised I am making myself quite depressed doing that and before I know it my 20's will be gone and I will have done nothing as I'm waiting for that majical moment I feel 'right'.

So all in all be kinder to myself I think Xmas Smile

Oh............and win a MN comp every month

kandinskysgirl · 21/12/2011 15:50

magical

NewBikeForChristmas · 21/12/2011 15:52

After a rocky start (illness, redundancy) which seems to have been resolved, I am going to count my blessings and enjoy my maternity leave with DD and give her all the hugs, kisses and attention she has been missing out on whilst I have been too ill and/or anxious to enjoy her. But not to leave out DS (3) too.

Tortington · 21/12/2011 16:01

pixierara · 21/12/2011 16:17

to get fit again. I have spent the last year doing nada as I broke my toe and then got out of the habit of doing so!

EllenandBump · 21/12/2011 16:45

I am planning to lose weight with a friends help (they have to lose weight as have an operation on their brain in august and have had a heart attack), BUT I DO NOT START UNTIL 2ND january, new years day i can still eat, and not feel guilty, also have some slimming tablets to help me as well. Want to lose 2 stone 12, and go back to being 7stone 2 which is where i should be for my weight and height according to the boots machine (that is the lowest safe healthy weight) but hey, i want to be slim again!

fivegomadindorset · 21/12/2011 16:58

Stupid ones really, eat veggie once a week, eat fish once a week and continue with our drive towards self sufficiency.

DaveGrohlsgirl · 21/12/2011 17:29

1 -Eat less carbs
2 - Try my hardest to live in the present, not the past or the future......in essence try and live a bhuddist way of life

TheProvincialLady · 21/12/2011 17:33

To find a babysitter and go out with my husband regularly.

MarriedToTheGrinch · 21/12/2011 17:55

HoneydragonAteCliffRichard · 21/12/2011 18:02

I have stuck to all of mine thus far

This years was not to to colour my hair and I am proud to say I have not been near a chemist or hairdresser.

2012 for me will be the year of the declutter, this time next year I intend to have emptied and ebayed 50% of my household contents.

granarybeck · 21/12/2011 18:17

I like your second one DG girl; that's what I need to do.

Mine are:

  1. Stop wasting so much time stressing about work
  2. Move house and then live in present! Hopefully learn to feel settled
  3. Prioritise friends
  4. Get back to being fit - go to gym or class twice a week
  5. Learn to be confident about cooking for people
  6. Make time to see dh more to do fun stuff, cinema, gigs etc
  7. Make an effort to find things we can do/go to as a family (teenagers Smile)
BitchyHen · 21/12/2011 18:21
  1. Start driving lessons.
  2. Pass driving test
pizzatheaction · 21/12/2011 18:42
