Bloody hell...this is stupid. MNet banned someone who ignored warnings to be less dogmatic (hee hee) and then all this. I have wasted hours of my life reading these threads (and know far more about tortoises than was ever needed). I beg you no more please.

I haven't had a fizzer in my eye yet but I would guess that palma violets hurt less and smell nicer.

I came on tonight to find out that DBF had been banned, and feel a bit sad

OK, she could be a bit forthright, but her motives were very worthy. As someone who works with dogs, I know the frustrations it causes to see animals suffering just because of a basic lack of knowledge or thought on the part of some owners, so I can understand her indignance at times.

I spend a lot of my day trying to make the same points as DBF gently to people. It rarely works . I sometimes read DBF's posts and thought "ouch!" but if I'm honest she often said things I was already thinking, but would never be ballsy enough to say. We didn't agree on everything, but I will miss her, and I do think MN and the Doghouse will be worse off without her. I admired her commitment and passion.

It's alright about fluffy. He was often overlooked, but he never held it against anyone. As small white rocks go he was very laid back.

now that it's all a bit quieter, can someone pur-lease explain to me why mamazon was banned? and how she came to be swmnbn2? i'm utterly baffled.

i did laugh at the dbf1 thread though, which was punctuated by similarly baffled mners going 'hold up, mamazon was banned?' and being artfully ignored, so ta for answering!
