Not that high & both sets of neighbours have no children & very immaculate gardens!!!
We have not been in our house very long at all & may fall out with the neighbours b4 getting to know them!!!

blueteddy · 17/08/2005 22:36

Bet the kids love it though don't they?!

charliecat · 17/08/2005 22:36

Think I have already upset one set of neighbours as ds's parachute man kind of drifted into their immaculate garden & they came straight out 2 investigate & we haven't had it back!
If they think thats bad just wait for big Ben!!!

charliecat · 17/08/2005 22:41

LMAO.................
Our shuttlecock went over and we got it back. Must have looked very out of place, they must get the spirirt levels out for the grass round here.

blueteddy · 17/08/2005 22:44

Sad thing is that ds wasn't even responsible 4 the parachute man!
Lets just say a few glasses of wine were involved & it was after his bedtime.
Poor little mite is desperate for it back!

charliecat · 17/08/2005 22:44

Ben arrived this morning He's sitting in my garage awaiting construction.

Beetle73 · 24/08/2005 15:41

Took a painful 6 months to get my kitchen installed, during which time: the tiler failed to show because he was "coughing up blood" having used a plastic bag as a dust mask; the fitters let themselves in without knocking, then blamed each other; they sent a cutlery tray that didn't fit the drawer; they "ran out of tiles" and sent me out to buy more, only to find the rest of the tiles while I was out, but not have the balls to call and tell me. NEVER AGAIN.

geogteach · 24/08/2005 16:00

Got my vouchers, but not my refund yet!

charliecat · 01/09/2005 09:54

  • Ordered a Mont Blanc when the thread was first posted on moneysavingexpert.com
  • Received card confirming delivery date
  • Then received phone call to say there had been a cock up with Mont Blanc stocking levels and I could have a Matterhorn at no extra charge
  • Received card for delivery date of Matterhorn in two days' time
  • Following day received phone call from B&Q to say cock up with order and would definitely not be getting anything and would get £20 vouchers.
  • Following day, vouchers turned and whilst we were out in the afternoon, the courier company tried to deliver the Matterhorn but took it back to Wolverhampton!
  • DS rang courier and they said they would re-deliver in a week which they did.
  • I received a phone call today from B&Q to offer me another Matterhorn because they were unable to supply the first (??)

To cut a long and boring story short, I received the Matterhorn (at Mont Blanc price) and £20 vouchers so it cost me £151. I have been following the MSE thread very closey so I know I am very lucky.

For anyone else who has a Matterhorn, how long did it take to put up please?

charliecat · 01/09/2005 22:48

WoW, have you posted al of that on the MSE forum...that means theres a spare matterhorn for someone!

OP posts:
CelluliteQueen · 02/09/2005 07:50

charliecat, I did start to follow the MSE thread but it is so long now!

The chap on the phone yesterday said that he was ringing me because I was on a long list of people who would be offered another playcentre because the original order wasn't fulfilled.

He obviously didn't realise that I'd already had one - they are so incompetent!

blueteddy · 03/09/2005 08:56

I just got £20 in B&Q vouchers too & I didn't have any problems with my order!
Did you see that there was an artical in the mirror about how they had messed up?

charliecat · 03/09/2005 09:01

No I didnt, is it online?

OP posts:
charliecat · 03/09/2005 09:02

I brought some softer swing seats at b and q with my vouchers, my skinnys girls bums arent too keen on the hard wooden seats.

OP posts:
blueteddy · 03/09/2005 09:05

Are they really hard?
Still haven't got round to putting ours up, as it was delivered to my parents house, as we were moving & we need to get some kind of van to get it round here!
Sorry, was what on line?

charliecat · 03/09/2005 09:06

the article from the mirror, I think if my kids were chunkier they would be fine, but my dds are like skeletons so they dont swing for long.

OP posts:
blueteddy · 03/09/2005 09:09

Oh bless them!
Don't know if it is on line or not. I saw it in the paper a few weeks back.
H said he wishes he was one of the people who didn't get one, as he is not going to have any garden left when it's up!
Old misery!
