Whos actually got what they ordered from B and Q?

following on from the bargain thread......

kids v upset went to my mums and left dh and my dad building it got a phone call to sya no wonder they wer so bloody cheap, neither of them had instructions!!! and they couldn't work it out between, them. there excuse for the climbing frame was that if they got it wrong it might not be safe. so now both are in pieces in the garage until b&q send some instructions!

I flounced out of B&Q yesterday as we had been waiting for ages for a barcode for something. The 2 dippy girls on the tills - once they had finished chatting - tannoyed for someone else to come & find it and although I could see 3 people sat chatting, no one came to assist.

I'm stil very jealous of anyone who got climbing frames, especially the castle one.

I ordered 3 slides - one for ds and 2 for presents and they arrived yesterday.

Well im in waiting for mine today...shall we take bets on whether it arrives?

vickiyumyum, have you looked in the box with the bolts in? That's where the instructions for ours were. Which one was it? I'm sure someone here would be able to photocopy a set of instructions and post it out to you.

Is anyone else treating the wood before the climbing frames goes up? The wood looks so porous (and is actually really rough as well) that we're having to sand it down and treat it before we put it up. I think if I'd paid full price for it I'd have been bitterly disappointed.

yes we have looked everywhere opened the boxes and packets and the instructions are not there. called b&q and they have put some in the post. was hoping to get tehm today but they haven't arrived.

p.s it was for the castle playset and the football table. No instructions in either one! my dh says thats why they were so cheap!

i ordered the Ben Nevis via website then got a call saying none in stock but they'd take my payment details again and I'd have one of the ones that were coming in. That was a week ago so I phoned them this morning and they said I'm still down to get one but no idea when they will be in! All sounds a bit suspect to me. And they do seem very disorganised.

I got a phone call saying they were out of stock, but would be back in stock and I would get one. Didnt believe them TBH..but its here now.

Had a call yestaday to say Ben Nevis discountinued and would I like a Matterhorn insted (that was what I wanted in the first place), phoned today to confirm but know they claim to have neither and would phone back in half an hour, that was 4 hours ago, knew it was too good to be true

Have you rang them again? I would...id chase it like anything.

didn't theya say that to misdee as well? about the matterhorn and is she still waiting for hers?

they pjhoned me almost 2 weeks ago now about changing ben nevis to matterhorn, and to expect a call in the next few days for a delivery date. so far nothing. have been chasing them since last week.

nope. the email said the customer service line is open till 8pm but they shut at 6pm. will be calling tomorrow at 8am.

rraaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the blokes delivery said they had delivered loads of the same thing.

aw man......how pants. Kep ringing till the easiest thing they can do is get it sorted. Start asking for names of folk etc.
