btw has anyone got an XLR? I'm thinking about having one as I have a discount code to use and it'll make it less than the XT in effect, so wondered what the difference is.
I know it takes a car seat, don't need it to do that as ds is nearly 2, but is it bigger than the XT as well?

Thanks x

FlyMeToDunoon · 01/06/2009 19:25

Wow the whole site seems so quiet atm. I wonder if it will be like this all summer long.
National-no idea about xlrs. Sorry.

nicolamumof3 · 01/06/2009 19:48

National the XLR is ALOT bigger than the xt imo. its too big for a standard umbrella fold unless you are very tall i'd say. i just found it heavy and cumbersome to push and store when folded. the xt is infinitely better i think.

Aw a lovely, and pregnant lady just picked up the MB.
At least I know it's going to a good home.
Itching to buy something but also hesitant to lay out my just earned cash.

FlyMeToDunoon · 01/06/2009 20:10

LittleMissBliss ridingjoker has a 2yr old powertwin on for sale ads. She used to be a regular in the pushchair shed and is a good egg. Maybe you could ask her for details.

nicolamumof3 · 01/06/2009 20:13

FlyMeToDunoon · 01/06/2009 20:17

What makes sense-selling MB or buying something NEW!!!!!!

5inthebed · 01/06/2009 20:31

Nicol, got the shoes and vouchers today. Thanks they are lovely.

Ebay stuff here. Nothing worth interest really, except my pram maybe?

Still going through stuff thinking what to sell. Got loads of stuff that I can sell, just got to get the momentum to put on Ebay.

5inthebed · 01/06/2009 20:36

JCMD, if it were suitable to post, I would. Its a fab bit of baby equipment, just wish that my 6 month old wasn't the size of a mini sumo wrestler

There are soe right fools on Ebay, just got an offer for £120 for the XT!

nicolamumof3 · 01/06/2009 20:40

set it to automatically decline anything ridciculous 5in.

go on flyme buy, buy buy!!! how you going to get on with volo think of your back? pmsl!!!

NationalFlight · 01/06/2009 20:40

Ah thankyou girls.,..Nicola, really? Oh dear! Maybe I ought to try one at a shop before committing to it.

I love our old techno, it feels about right iygwim. I thought the XLR would be about the same but a bit posher looking.

Just goes to show, always ask first on MN!!

nicolamumof3 · 01/06/2009 20:42

it is nice, the seat liner is nice! but you can buy all sorts of liners now for xts. you should def look at it side by side to an XT/ Tis HUGE honestly!!

NationalFlight · 01/06/2009 21:12

Ok will do! I had an offer for 30% off and the XT would have come in at about 165, while the xlr was 198. I didn't know whether to go the extra mile or not really.

I'll try and have a look at one tomorrow maybe M'care might have both?

It does look pretty with the gold/black colours though...

Thanks Nic x

fairimum · 01/06/2009 21:18

ok... well took my new P&T sport out today, it is lovely I work as a nanny at the moment and take DD with me so tried it as a double - fed ducks, walked around the lake - fab!!

Sooo..... how is best to keep the seats clean, looking at seat liner of some kind - P&T seem to ahve a bunny liner (but looks like has a head hugger type thing, although says for babies and toddlers... can't really see how as head bit looks fixed??) or the sponge ted liner... but looks like the side bits fold in and think DD might just start fiddling with it stuffing food behind it etc... also assume can't have this in the back seat?? any advice other ideas greatly apprectiated...

do have buggy snuggles but obviously too warm at the moment... ooo and cant you even use a buggy snuggle in the back seat??

thanks so much

nicolamumof3 · 01/06/2009 21:24

best off with custom stuff on doubles seat.

try www.chunkle-munkle.co.uk or www.snunkie.com or .co.uk?

buggysnuggles zip off to make liner tho for summer and give good coverage, i had buggysnuggle on my p&t, was gorgeous!!

claret1980 · 01/06/2009 21:25

Well the bloody courier didn't turn up. Waited in all afternoon and they turned up 45 minutes after the deadline time. Have had an email saying they are going to ring me to see when they can pick it up. Think I'm gonna cancel with them as they state that you can choose a time for it to be picked up. The email said that they only statr picking up at 2-2.30pm. Thats no good when I have dd to pick up.

Just accepted a second chance offer for quest, black with squares on of £29 & £12 post.

nicolamumof3 · 01/06/2009 21:28

claret which courier you using?

claret1980 · 01/06/2009 21:29

nicolamumof3 · 01/06/2009 21:31
