Morning!! Can't believe it's march. Can't believe dd is 2 and nearly 2 months. Can't believe she'll be at school before I know it, then university. Can't believe how old I'll be then

nicolamumof3 · 01/03/2009 10:50

lol Carrielou!

soooo glad its march two worst months of the year out the way!

Anyone want an original buggyboard? bargain!!

pebbles79 · 01/03/2009 10:56

Actually quite glad it's March as I've got a week off work this month, lol!

Do any of you ladies living in Scotland still travel to England alot? I need to find out if I can use a provisional license to travel from Glasgow to London as I don't have a passport. The easyjet website says that it accepts a photgraphic driving license but doesn't say if it accepts a provisional or just the full one.

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 10:57

can i ask you something please?

you all seem to know your buggies,

i have just bought the smallest car in the world so need a small fold buggie,

do i really need the mac xt?

will one of the other macs do the job and if so which one?

i have looked at the compare site and the extending handles would be good but not the end of the world if i dont have them (i test drove the quest mod and the handles were ok)

what else should i be looking for?

thanks

nicolamumof3 · 01/03/2009 10:59

it depends on the size of your boot really? the mac xts and xlrs can be a long fold? how old is your dc? i do love my macs the xt's are lovely but overpriced now for thenew black for what it is.

all depends on age of dc and size of carboot!

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:03

8 months and tiny boot

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:04

have a buzz for day to day and walking and the big car

pebbles79 · 01/03/2009 11:04

My friend has a tiny boot and can't fit an umbrella fold in it.

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:05

boot is 1025 mil at the widest

nicolamumof3 · 01/03/2009 11:06

you might strugggle with an umbrella fold then. have you thought of a zapp, i am selling mine but in two minds as it is so light and nippy and sooooo small! and the fold would fit in any car.

nicolamumof3 · 01/03/2009 11:07

probably not big enought as think the xt is 103cm? at least.

quests smaller and nice as well.

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:09

the zapp doesnt lie flat does it?

i have looked at the quest and i think i like it,

is there any thing else i should consider?

nicolamumof3 · 01/03/2009 11:12

no it doesn't fine for short trips but if you need a lie flat have you look at the zia (not sure if as good as zapp tho?) or the luna which i love too! good value, lovely seat and full lie back.

maclaren ryder like the spitfire or four seasons would be as long as xt.

pebbles79 · 01/03/2009 11:14

My friend has tried a few in her boot and the only ones she can fit are the Zapp, Zia, Loola and Jane Carrera.

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:15

the zia looks ok

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:16
nicolamumof3 · 01/03/2009 11:18

loola real heavy to push get up kerbs yuck, no one ever keeps one!!

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:19

oh, thats the one i was going to buy before i bought the buzz,

we walk/camp/climb

the lady said the loola would manage all those things so we got the buzz which i love but it is so big and heavy

i might consider the loola,

anyone got one?

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:20

it might fit in the boot but nothing else will

BriansAmazingBeard · 01/03/2009 11:21

the lady said the loola would not manage

nicolamumof3 · 01/03/2009 11:22

i wouldn't get a loola personally lots of better choices out there.

pebbles79 · 01/03/2009 11:29

I'm not a fan of the Loola either and my friend didn't keep hers! She really likes the Carrera though and I think they have them on offer at Kiddicare just now.
