i know, maybe i should get a new one anyway! let me know when you are next over to lidl i might have a nosey at yours dunoon!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 02/03/2009 11:16

Sure. You gonna buy new elite then?

nicolamumof3 · 02/03/2009 11:21

not an elite an urban, probably in moss. are they really worth all that money tho????

FlyMeToDunoon · 02/03/2009 11:32

TBH I wouldn't pay the £400 odd for a new one.One of the great things about them is that they are basic and sturdy. So for that money I would be wanting more luxury or accessories. For instance mine definitly needs a liner of some kind because the bars can be felt through the seat.
I am quite happy with mine even with the rust spots and squeaks. It is an older model mind you.
You would probably want something newer.
I would go for a good condition second hand one and get some moss covers and a nice liner from Snunkie

nicolamumof3 · 02/03/2009 11:49

yep i am thinking that.

i saw an m&p 03 sport today in the p.o and really like the look of it!!!

BexieID · 02/03/2009 12:11

I'd like a Swift, Toro& Skate, lol. The only reason I was thinking Skate though as I llove the idea of the stand for the ccarrycot, so could have baby sleeping in tthat in our room at night, rather then bbuying one of those swinging crib things. Tom was in his moses basket for 3 months and
went into his cot when we moved to Scotland. Then he was in our room till he was 13 months. Theres no room now for a cot in our bedroom.

I was wondering if somneone could advise me what price to ask for a Mountain Buggy Urban 2008 in Baroque?

I am going to be putting mine in the local paper to hopefully try and shift in the near future, but don't want to give it away, nor do I want to waste my time asking a silly price.

It has probably been used a dozen times, is around 10 months old, has the bumper bar and raincover. No scratches or damage at all, I don't think but would have to check as haven't used it for a few months.

Would Ebay be better than the local paper? I am loathe to have to package it up for posting though.

nicolamumof3 · 02/03/2009 12:19

how much would you want for it geepers as im considering buying a mb atm.

the baroque seems to be on sale for £300ish atm b/new. worth checking completed ebay listings?

DivamakesKimchi · 02/03/2009 14:08

Geepers, Recently MB urban designer with 50s cover sold for over just200. 50s cover is limited edition there are only 50 in uk, it probably best to check ebay

DivamakesKimchi · 02/03/2009 14:10

ebay fees going up in march

Geepers · 02/03/2009 14:15

Thanks, have just checked Ebay (don't know why I didn't before!) and only one used one has been sold, and they accepted a best offer of £220. Think I will put it in the paper for £200 then try Ebay if no luck.

BexieID · 02/03/2009 14:23

Geepers, are you in Scotland or near Wokingham?

OP posts:
Geepers · 02/03/2009 14:32

BexieID · 02/03/2009 14:45

I think Nicola will be interested, i guess she is out with boys

Eve4Walle · 02/03/2009 17:15

I've just bought a Britax Vigour 4+ and am very pleased with it, but am confused with the fron wheels. They do swivel, but only when you pull at the wheel from the bottom and then they swing round and click straight back into place.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Also, you can see the welding where the strut meets the chassis at either side to the bottom - is that normal?

nicolamumof3 · 02/03/2009 17:23

i don't eve, (cool name btw!) they should stay on swivel??

FlyMeToDunoon · 02/03/2009 17:52

hello I had a vigour 3 and I have no idea. Sorry! Not much use huh.

MrsMagooo · 02/03/2009 18:10

Anyone want a BNIB Jane Nest Plus, just need it gone now so will do for £28 posted?

SparklyGothKat · 02/03/2009 18:20

Geepers, Misdee is interested in your MB but wants the retractable axels, does yours have that? She will be online later

FlyMeToDunoon · 02/03/2009 18:32

Retractable axles-what next!
mine has knobs that are permanently extended

misdee · 02/03/2009 18:35

hiya yes, am interested if it has the retractable rear axles. i need these so i can pop the wheels off, and wedge it behinddd1 rear seat in the car safely without any axles hitting against the rear window or dd1 head. it will have red rubber bits on the brake if its the newer one.

Eve4Walle · 02/03/2009 18:36

Thanks Nicola!

yes, I think they should stay on swivel, but I can't get them to.

Geepers · 02/03/2009 19:42

Having looked at mine it appears not to have red plastic bits on the brake so do I assume it's not a 2008 version after all? Not that it matters much to me, but I suppose I'd better know what I am selling ;)

misdee · 02/03/2009 20:29

thanks geepers

think i'll leave it, juyst for the sake of dd1 head lol.
