Which pram board?

SparklyGothKat · 19/02/2009 19:30

I will ask them to approve you Mac. They have to be careful on there as there is someone who made someone else's life hell who may try and join.

nicolamumof3 · 19/02/2009 19:31

i got accepted maclaren so you should be maclaren deffo!!

i would quite like a baroque, are they on ebay still? 299?

onelittlelion · 19/02/2009 20:05

Pushchairs.co.uk had some good offers on last time I looked at MB's. I think if you're used to p&t you'll love the MB as a single as it is much lighter to push even if heavier to lift. Only downside is it's wide which takes bit of getting used to! I love mine

Maclaren · 19/02/2009 20:05

Cargirl is going to ask them to accept me thanks sparkely although two people asking would be grate the user name I signed up with is Catew

Nicola the last one sold yesterday but I emailed the lady and she said she has more!

I put a silly offer in on a Quinny XS today and its bloody been accepted think I am going to try and cancel ohhh I dont even know why I put the offer in! Also I like the look of the Baby Jogger on the for sale board the lady sent me pics and its lovely black and silver

Right off to watch TV Dh Keeps calling!

nicolamumof3 · 19/02/2009 20:10

DivamakesKimchi · 19/02/2009 20:26

carrielou2007 · 19/02/2009 20:41

Evening all. We're back from disney, was fabbi though very cold.

Which pram board is this??

Black xt was great on holiday even when laden down with everyone elses drinks/coats/snacks/bags etc it kept going. Thank goodness I was away when you sold your breeze Maclaren or I would have snapped your hand off for it!!

nicolamumof3 · 19/02/2009 20:52

glad you had a good time carrielou, bet it was fab!

i bet dd was nice and snug in xt, we loved xlr too, it was great, tilting hood fabbi for sunshine. just got all covers off now in wash!

BexieID · 19/02/2009 21:08

I'm going to start saving for a Swift so that hopefully by the time we have another baby, i'll have the money for one (and a Toro ).

onelittlelion · 19/02/2009 21:13

Bexie get an Urban with a carrycot much nicer imo! There is a ady I always see waking with a pumpkin one and a tiny baby. looks lovey and always makes me broody!

nicolamumof3 · 19/02/2009 21:16

yep i'd rather have a carrycot. but i'd rather have a rear facer pushchair if i was having another i would maybe get an m&p herbie or switch.

BexieID · 19/02/2009 21:18

Aren't the newer urbans heavier than the old ones though? Mine feels heavy but the front wheel keeps locking into fixed, which is doing my head in. DP keeps promising to sort it out.

SparklyGothKat · 19/02/2009 21:22

yes they are Bexie, I had the urban elite and struggled with lifting it, gone back to the fixed handle urban now as its lighter

BexieID · 19/02/2009 21:24

I'v never really liked carrycots, lol. Was telling horsemadgal once that mum offered to buy me any buggy I wanted (and my brother worked for John Lweis at the time), so could have had a Bugaboo etc. I'd fallen in love with a Graco travel system in Toys R Us so had that . I liked the idea of the car seat and autobase.

onelittlelion · 19/02/2009 21:26

I think the Switch looks a fab car buggy and lies lovey and flat for baby I would like one too or maybe a Bee....

DivamakesKimchi · 19/02/2009 21:26

I think, its up to people. Im size 14,5f5. I dont find MBU too heavy as i had Jane slalom before. I love pushing it by one hand.

onelittlelion · 19/02/2009 21:27

Don't know what to say to that Bexie

onelittlelion · 19/02/2009 21:28

I agree Diva - might not be the lightest pram to lift but pushes like a dream. I like the Slalom too was just a bit bulky folded.

BexieID · 19/02/2009 21:30

I'm a 26/28 (was 24 before and just after I had Tom) and am 5ft 2". MB is lighter than my Graco. I'm such a weakling now, used to be tough!

DivamakesKimchi · 19/02/2009 21:30

Oh, Bexie, I love carrycot. I only had Cam, cause i wanted carrycot. Once ds was 6m i sold it

nicolamumof3 · 19/02/2009 21:31

lol Bexie, i've never been a graco fan im afraid. i do like babies in carrycots. i've had all three of mine in the same bebecar pram my mum bought for Tom 10yrs ago! i love it its lime green! its immaculate still. i love carrycots for babies. nice and flat and then you don't need a moses basket.

SparklyGothKat · 19/02/2009 21:31

I have just been comparing the weights of the different MBs. The Urban is 10kg, the Elite is 11.5kg and the swift is 9.5kg. No wonder I struggled with the Elite lol

BexieID · 19/02/2009 21:32

If only I could go back in time and tell my 16 week pregnant self what I know now, lol.
