Shein refusing to refund me

ForWaryBiscuit · 20/10/2024 15:04

Hi guys I sent 2 orders back to shein in the same returns box (so a combined return) I have been refunded for the 1 order but not the other, when the 2 orders were in the same box to be returned.

I've contacted shein and they ate basically saying that my other order has not reached their warehouse. It should have because it was in the SAME box. I really don't know what to do I've been going back and for fos days. It's not just one little thing it's £80 worth of stuff. So now I don't even have the stuff or a refund

Anyone else had a similar situation amd how did you resolve it

I will be deleting shein app off of my phone once I've sorted this

I get your point but you don’t seem to get the same responses on threads about buying H&M/George/TU/Zara/Next etc etc etc

This isn't a thread about those companies it's about shein

Curious to test this... Temu

That company has come up on another thread and the post wasn’t deleted. I wonder if it’s only if you say something derogatory.

It was hidden the second I pressed post, then probably not even a minute later it came back up, probably a spam tool or something

But those companies are U.K. based and I expect if you look on their websites they will have links to where their clothes are made or modern slavery policies.

Does s75 apply to returns for unwanted items?

I would have thought any claim would be against the delivery company that was used to return the parcel. Although that won’t get very far as the parcel was clearly delivered

Yes, it applies to a breach of contract however that breach occurs. It applies to the supplier (in this instance, Shein) not fulfilling their contract with a customer (OP) because they haven't refunded her for £80 worth of returned items. (The delivery company has nothing to do with it - OP's contract isn't with them, but with the supplier). OP has returned items in good faith - and has evidence of doing so - but Shein are refusing to refund her for the second order even though it was in the same box as the first order for which they have refunded her. (They can't claim they haven't received the returned items from the second order when they were in the same box as the first.)

No companies are perfect and I’m not going to disclose my shopping habits, however I rarely buy clothes as I buy clothes that last. I also buy furniture, clothes etc from charity shops mostly when I do.

But as a PP said, this is about Shein. You don’t have to dig deep to find articles about child labour.

WhatsInTheRug · 20/10/2024 16:42

But charity shops are flooded with Shein and primark!

Although it turns out people do need to dig deep to find their morals and not buy from these exploitative companies

FlibbertyGibbitt · 20/10/2024 16:43

Can you post on their social media ? Email their CEO ? I’ve had this before and had to do the above. Ignore all the unhelpful comments , did you pay by credit card or PayPal by any chance?

WhatsInTheRug · 20/10/2024 16:43

Like most conversations and threads , the conversation will wander....and it's not school, we can stray 'off topic'

PonyPlaiter · 20/10/2024 16:44

WhatsInTheRug · 20/10/2024 15:53

Rude and judgey.....where do YOU buy all your stuff from??

I make a lot of my clothes myself using thrifted fabric or I buy second hand. That ok for you?

Cerealkiller4U · 20/10/2024 16:45

grumpypedestrian · 20/10/2024 15:23

I talk to someone who keeps telling me about these ‘amazing Temu deals’. I’ve told her it’s slave labour but she keeps buying rubbish from it.

I hope people get ripped off by these people, they deserve it for taking advantage of hugely unethical working conditions.

They’re ex ring your data. We have a business in cyber security.

have a dig around. They’re not worth it

Cerealkiller4U · 20/10/2024 16:47

ForWaryBiscuit · 20/10/2024 15:43

What's it to you WHY I ordered the clothes

Also I don't care where the clothes go after I returned them, I just wanted my money back

Delightful….

Wexone · 20/10/2024 16:47

All companies operate the same h &m zara Assa etc..but research has shown that shien and temu are 100 time worse than any company they consumed more oil last year than Toyota did in their factories. yes you needed cheap clothes for your last minute holiday but you could have looked in vinted currently 60 million pieces from zara alone on there. probably quadruple that of shein
and before anyone says we can't afford blah blah research has shown that the majority of shein buyers etc earn an above average wage and spend approx 200e a month on clothes. If your poor you don't have that extra money to spend. research has shown that people who ear less than average wage. buy less. buy more second hand etc .

I check labels and never get anything with a Primark, BooHoo, Shein label. Keep trying 😅

WhatsInTheRug · 20/10/2024 16:49

They are 'ex ring our data'?

WhatsInTheRug · 20/10/2024 16:49

Victoriancat · 20/10/2024 16:51

OP you can buy fast fashion if you want to, everyone is sitting on phones made by kids etc, as for Shein, if you send things back altogether they always do it, I learned the hard way! Always send stuff back separately

Jesus the OP is getting a right hard time for ordering some clothes - entirely her choice, convienience and relative cheapness won over for her. £220 even on Shein doesn't buy a week's worth of new clothes at £20 odd a dress for the nice stuff, people going on how of course she already has clothes how do you know she hasn't lost/gained a load of weight/had to leave her living situation with none of her old stuff?
Definitely try a CC charge back OP.
I'm always so wary of this returning two orders together thing for other retailers.

If she'd had to leave her living situation with no clothes it's unlikely she'd be going on holiday to turkey

What happen with your combined return situation.. was it similar to mine

And I have contacted my bank with all the evidence needed, so hopefully they could do somthing

If it was 10 pounds worth I'd let it go, but i0 pound is alot of money

Yeah, followed their app process, stuck everything in one bag and they said 2 things from a second order weren't returned.

Hopefully the bank can resolve for you!

grumpypedestrian · 20/10/2024 16:57

Oh dear, did OP have her feelings hurt while taking advantage of child labour?

I hate to tell you but this is well known with Shein

And one of the (many)reasons people shouldn't use them
