Following on from all this, how do we negotiate things when there are kinks and fetishes that partners don't share or don't want to indulge in? We hear about the cases where it kills the relationship or makes things unlivable, but are there any examples of people who've worked around it?

My DW used to indulge mine many many years ago but she said she found it a bit of a chore. I didn't want her to feel that way or like I was objectifying her so I put a lid on it / left it for her to initiate when she feels she'd like to do that. It's extremely infrequent now, but I'd rather it be like that than her feel obliged or under pressure etc. I do fantasise over the thing in question a lot on my own time still, but I've never felt like it would be worth leaving or wrecking a good marriage and happy family over!

I don't think it's unusual for people to have little things like that (although not everyone does) and I don't think I'd call it a kink because I don't need it to get excited.

Thats appalling that you have had that, and I am sorry that you have been subject to those kind of messages. I have had similar myself, and I have always reported to MN, and in every case, the sender had no other posting history under the name they messaged from and MN deleted the account.

I find it so wild that as a 40 year old woman someone could tell me I don’t know what urine/urination looks, smells, and feels like. Squirt fluid is much more viscous that urine, it does not look, smell, or taste like urine. It happens to me when I have been to the loo and emptied my bladder less than 30 minutes previously - and kidneys make urine at a rate of 0.5ml/kg/hr so that does not explain the quantity of fluid involved in squirting.

If you are a woman, have you experienced after orgasm needing to go to the loo even though you emptied your bladder pre-sex? Have you noticed that “urine” feels/smells different? Anyway, even if you haven’t experienced that, I always think it’s best to assume that other people aren’t fucking stupid and do understand their bodies. Some people also like piss play, but I think we can all tell the difference.
