Going to my first swingers party in 3 weeks

Hi all, Yup, so as the subject line ways, heading to my first "party" in a few weeks. As a single woman. Think there will be about 50 people there, couples, and some singles. Have wanted to try this for a while, but am very nervous. Have paid for my hotel accommodation already (it is in another City) so that way I don't chicken out.
Have any of you been to anything like this? It is through the FAB site, which I have seen posts of on MN

I don’t agree that most men will fuck anything. My impression from the males I’ve known, sexual attraction is important, I’m not saying there are not men that have the mindset that any hole is a goal but I think a lot of men need an attraction. Each to their own, who are we to judge what others like and don’t like.

You are on the sex topic on a site which is predominantly used by WOMEN. I can draw my own conclusions as to why that is as you type one handed.

I went to a big Fab social this weekend. Lots of people mingling. All ages. Different shapes and sizes. Different backgrounds. Where else would a middle aged adult go on a Saturday night where you can just go up to someone and start chatting. No you wouldn't do that in a pub.

For some the swinging scene is very social. Me included. I've met some lovely people. Some are good friends who I've never played with but I've had the most amazing days out with. Walking trips. The coast. Concerts.

To suggest all men will put their .... in anything that moves is a bit insulting.

Maybe some use Fab for that but I certainly don't.

To be fair Bertha, if men want wank material, I think Mumsnet would fall to the bottom of the pile. I think this thread is getting somewhat derailed now and getting a bit unkind, so let’s just accept some people have different opinions/likes/dislikes etc.

I will tell you why I found Mumsnet. A lady I met on Fab told me about it. Another Fabber who I've never played with but is a genuinely good friend who I've had some great days out with.

If I was the "any hole is a goal" type I wouldn't have spent the last two years being mates with her. I would of quickly moved on to find a potential conquest.

There's far more to life than sex and far more to Fab than sex if you want to use it that way.

Agreed but I'm speaking from my experience which is mainly grim and I would advise any single woman to think long and hard about joining the scene. It's not glamorous and it IS as tacky as that TV show portrayed.

@MrsBerthaRochester you must have gone to one of the skank holes. Should have done your research. I went to allure at townhouse last month and the crowd was hotter than your average nightclub. We've been on the scene for about 8 years and I've never once seen a granny in a hot tub.

Oh I can post some verifications of folk who have been to Townhouse. Going by their photos they are certainly not "hot"
I have been to four different clubs and yes there were plenty of old grannies in all of them. And leery middle aged men walking about with their dick in hand.
Folk are free to go and have a look at the site and see the demographic/photos. The tv show portrayed the nasty reality VERY well.

As you named a club where the "hot" folk go to have sex on cum crisp sheets perhaps you could name a few of the "skank holes" just for reference?

I used to know a woman who regularly went to swingers do's years ago., She was about 40 then. She said she always wore alluring clothes, lacy and revealing stuff. But she said there was often older men there, who were pale bodied, with paunchy flabby bodies, and some left their socks on., and reeked of booze, and could not perform well sexually.

She said there was often a few younger men there, all toned, tanned and lovely, who usually made a beeline towards the much older ladies, who had experience and wholesome bodies.

I don't think I would be able to stop laughing if I went to one of these parties..
