Waiting on St George's and LEH here. Didn't realise I had picked the two schools with the latest offer date 😩I believe St George's email tomorrow and LEH post tomorrow and email Friday. We aren't private school or bust but I keep questioning myself as to whether I should have sat her for more schools. However she disliked Surbition and the other just weren't the right fit. Two brothers at Hampton adds an extra layer of pressure. Has anyone experienced siblings getting into schools whilst other siblings didn't? I know I have given them the same opportunities but it will be very tough for her if she doesn't get any offers.

Yes we have DS starting at Hampton for 13+ and DD didn't even get an interview at LEH. It was a real blow. She is the naturally brighter of the two as well

This is great @Sass22 ! If you keep reiterating your interest the chances should be very very good!!! PHS has always struck me as having very open and down to earth, transparent and helpful admission team! Good luck!!!

@cerealchange we have a similar situation with older sibling at very academic schools and the naturally brighter younger one not offered a place.

How are you moving forward, have you approached LEH or do you have another offer you are happy with.

I am sorry for some it is WL and not the straight answer we would like:( I am sure there will be a lot of movement on the lists for many schools though - sit tight dear parents.

@nottoolong are you close to the start of the alphabet?

We haven't had an email from epsom yet. Am freaking out here! It's DD's first choice since she didn't get LEH interview. And she only has a waitlist for PH. Her school have been amazed that she hasn't done better- it seems she crumbles in exams! I was told she is brightest at her prep and would be a perfect fit for LEH (said by a teacher who used to work there!).

@Eighthour it's been a really hard one to navigate. DS made waitlist for Eton as well. So now DD is really, really down on herself. If she doesn't get Epsom then I guess she will go to a prep till 13+

@cerealchange we are actually close to the end of the alphabet. They might send boys' results first? The emails to myself and my partner both went to Promotions folder in Gmail.

@cerealchange sometimes the emails will just come different times for people, not sure the reasoning. But for example the interview email for Putney came for my DH 2:30pm and I did not receive until 10pm! For the offer email, I got it first and hours later my dh.

@nottoolong thanks for the heads up re Epsom results. WL is a positive sign and I hope it converts to an offer for you. Also very surprised they are managing to get the results out. Genuinely was expecting -an entirely understandable -delay from Epsom.
Fingers crossed for all those waiting. Nothing here yet...

I hate to say it but I know many parents that have been put off the school due to the recent tragic events. There will be lots of movement this year. It is our first choice, we love the school.

It is so very difficult. My boys are incredibly happy at Hampton and it would be ideal for them all to be in the same place. However they are two very different schools and LEH is not the girls equivalent that I thought it was. I also think LEH is much harder to get into. I hope your DS enjoys it there as much as my boys do. The most surprising thing for me as been the unbelievable pastoral care. We have had a few bumps as a family and school could not have done more to support my boys.

It is so difficult managing expectations with siblings. We are hoping for some movement between now and mid March so I'm trying not to dwell on it. I do think things will work themselves out - however it's very hard to focus on work in the meantime! Glad of the half term break coming up.

I have just heard from Epsom. It’s a ‘no’ for us unfortunately. So disappointed! My DS just ends up rushing the exams and making lots of silly mistakes.

@ Feltonfleet, but overall there are lots of options for dd if the initial 11plus process is unsuccessful including The Manor Bookham and St Teresa's Effingham. Plus there is more movement at the end of year 7 between schools than you would expect.

@Asham im so sorry it’s not the result you wanted. My DC sad 5 exams a few years back and only had one waitlist offer. It was devastating. We did fall into the perfect school for him. I know it won’t help your disappointment now but everything works out for a reason. X

Sorry to hear that. I hope he had a good time at Claremont. Mr Brierly is fantastic.
