@Taurus23 yes, it's shocking. From what I can see in the press it looks like a murder / suicide. I hope the school are able to provide the pupils with all the support they need as this kind of violence involving a child as well is so disturbing.

As you say, it certainly does put things in perspective.

@MomFromSE @Taurus23 I am also worried about how to talk to my DS and what he may have already learned about it at school today. We didn't mention anything this morning but there are EC siblings in his year group.

I’m still in shock. It is so sadly ironic that EC won a couple of awards at the end of last year including one for ‘Student Wellbeing’ for its whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Yes, I will suddenly be a lot more productive! Now I find myself wasting time looking on mumsnet too much and refreshing the portal, checking emails 😂 Not sure why I continue to waste time, as Putney already said before the end of the week, so no more hope for it to come today. Although, last year it was the Monday!

Same here. The long wait for Friday is too much. All the schools we applied to confirmed Friday, except Putney. However, Putney said by the end of this week, which makes me think Thursday or Friday. Wishful thinking hopes for today because I am so sick of waiting.

For those waiting on Reeds, it might be worth a call or email to the Admissions team as we received a letter in the post on Friday (posted Thursday) and an email that same day. I know many others who also had the letter arrive Friday - though it seems WL places may not have had the email - just those with offers. But it may be that there is no rhyme or reason - so just give the school a call they may be willing to put you out of your misery by now! It's such a long wait for all these results.
