@Silkierabbit thinking of you and chemo this week. Take it easy.

Maths and Business today. Maths not his strongest, he is hoping for 7s across the board but has so far been a very close but not quite. He’ll be glad to see the back of formal maths. Business he hates and thinks is pointless but it is so straightforward that he’ll just go in and whack it out I think.

Ds will also be glad to have the last exams in a few subjects this week. Went off fairly happy this morning- lets hope they don't throw in another impossible question!

DD in a bit of a strop this morning and left the house three minutes later than usual (ever second counts for her journey!) in a panic. Hope she's not late to school.

Good luck with your challenging week @Silkierabbit . The garden party at the weekend sounds just the tonic you may enjoy. Hope you feel up to it.

You can be up to 30 mins late and still get full time though not somewhere you want to go but good as an emergency.

Thanks for all the chemo wishes, they help motivate me to keep going. At least this one is at 2pm so can Floof sit in am then DD is back to take over Floof.

DD was saying yesterday part of her feels exams are nearly over now and then she remembers there are still 7 to go. Think she’s a little sad this is her last ever maths exam - she and her friends are preparing a lovely thank you gift for their maths teacher which is very nice 😊

i work from home 99% of the time (and have done for the past nearly 7 years). Today I get to go to a work meeting which is a welcome change. DD on hearing I wouldn’t be at home when she gets back after maths was concerned in case I’d be too tired when I get back to hear about how maths went 😂

DS has just got home and is feeling annoyed with himself for not spotting the last question which was on the back of the paper! Oh well, nothing we can do about it now. He should still be on track for a very good grade, maths his is strongest subject, it was only worth 5 marks.

He's now doing some Biology revision for Wednesday though he has Geography paper 3 and Statistics 1 tomorrow. At least the really hot weather is not forecast to arrive here until Friday.

@MirandaWest That sounds like something my eldest daughter would say.

Younger DD has 4 exams this week and 3 next week, DH did remark earlier that it seems to have gone on forever. She also has a pot to finish painting this week as it was glaze fired last week, I think if she goes after her Biology exam on Wednesday, she might get it mostly finished in one go.

Well that was the hardest maths paper apparently. Hey ho ...

It went well!! If your DC did AQA foundation the paper was really easy

Oh good. So hope you pass this time, it seems as if you have tried really hard for it. (Some others may not have found it easy though.)

Another report on maths being hard AQA higher but not as hard as the non calculator apparently 🤞

Ds also said the last question was hidden away on the back page and he nearly missed it. Worth 5 marks too. This was Edexcel. Why do they put a blank page in! He felt it was the easiest of the three but we'll see.

@MirandaWest ahhh that’s sweet. Our teens do need us even if they like to think they don’t!

DD says the Maths was really bad again. She has hated all 3 of them and thinks she’s done badly. At least it’s done and dusted and she never has to do Maths ever again!

Anyone know how Ed excel higher was? DS is not answering my messages and has business this afternoon so I wont see him until later this afternoon.
