North / East London 11+ for Sept 2022 entry

Hi everyone, I may have missed it but cannot see a thread on this year’s 11+ for North London so thought I’d start one. Is anyone else waiting? Good luck everyone! And for anyone who sat the Forest exam this week, I hope it went well for your child.

We have a yes from Habs Girls and are DELIGHTED! Also a yes from Francis Holland.
Waitlist at NLCS.

@Wendlty can I ask if there was any mention of a “taster session” in February or something similar for offer holders, in your letter from SHHS? I’ve heard of some schools doing something similar in the past (although that was pre- Covid!) One of my worries about a WL place has been that DD wouldn’t have a chance to attend a taster day which would be a good chance to meet other girls etc.

DD and her friend both declining, so definitely 2 places back on offer.

Good morning, has everyone made a final decision? :-) We are waiting to visit two schools on offer holders morning but are quite sure already.

Same as you really - we are visiting 2 schools next week. Having had a few days to process DD’s offers, us and DD are all thinking towards the same thing. However another school, equally accessible from where we live, really impressed us in the process and seemed to “get” DD in a way none of the others ones did - and DH hasn’t visited there - so hoping the offer holder visits make it really clear for us which the right option of the two is for her.

Kind of in the same situation here @L0ndonGirl. My husband will visit school 1 next week (hasn't been before) and I will give school 2 another chance too. We did have a chat with DD's 11+ tutor yesterday who was very helpful in pointing us in the direction of one of them (luckily, the one we lean towards anyway).

I wondered if anyone else had an offer from Forest School and was going to accept it? My DD did and we're considering it - would be interested to hear others' thoughts about the school. Thanks!

My son has an offer from Forest. Also offers from UCS and Bancroft. It is his favourite school and we are probably going to accept it. A little uncertain as the other two perform better academically but I really liked Forest looking around it, met a number of confident and relaxed pupils, and facilities fab. He is going to the taster day this week. What did you think of Forest?

That’s great - well done to your son! Yes it’s DD’s first choice too and she will also go to the taster next week. We really like it - her other options also perform better academically- but like you we loved the atmosphere and the kids we met at the open day were lovely. The new fully co-Ed system makes me a little nervous as I liked the diamond structure.

Hi, wondering if anyone on the SHHS waiting list has received an offer? We are on the waiting list but given that the deadline for acceptances was yesterday, I don’t feel that hopeful about our chances : (
